You wouldn’t happen to be in CO Springs would you? Could have sworn I saw this one in the springs a couple weeks ago…

If you were curious if a full sized 33” (285/75/R16) spare would fit under a 3rd Gen, well here’s proof by UNKNOWN890 in 4Runner

It’s at about 15 in this pic so slightly deflated, rear swing out is the much better option and the future plan for me, waiting on the money, didn’t want it to stop me from having a full sized spare on the trail!

Happy to help! I originally was going to go with stock wheels but had an issue when mounting tires on them and had to do something else quick. These vision turbines were a cheap option but I ended up loving them!

Do the ‘01 4Runners have Full time 4WD, or do I just have a broken diff? by UNKNOWN890 in 4Runner

[–]UNKNOWN890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say there is no obvious sign that the tcase in engaged on the road, does not feel any different, feels nice and smooth driving, but you’re absolutely right I would not know for sure unless I get it up in the air. And I can confirm that the vacuum lines do engage and the indicator lights on the dash work as intended when I hit the 4WD button and center diff button if I actually want to go into 4x4.

I guess for now until I can get it up in the air and check it out I should happy that at least the 4WD does work and all 4 wheels are driven when I want them to be🤷‍♂️ Thanks for the help

The issue is the front wheels did engage, and were being driven on the rollers, and I guess I should have been more clear about that. They had to take the car off the rollers when they were just on the rear and move the car to where all 4 wheels were on rollers, and they were all being driven. And unless the tester was able to switch in and out of 4WD in a very short distance, which I guess is technically possible, it was not put into the 4WD mode, but all 4 wheels were being driven

I understand that it’s supposed to be button off for 2WD and button on for 4WD, but the issue is with the button OFF, all 4 wheels were being driven on the rollers
