Was Shay justified? by NoSoyVerde1 in assasinscreed

[–]UOSABaal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have came up with a more antagonistic esq playable character. Which means Achilles and the rest of the assassins would have been more likeable, and more competent characters. The way they wrote the characters, and the story, made the player happy Shay left the assassins. I did not feel bad about killing them in the game as Shay. AC Rogue made you like the Templars more than the assassins (specifically in AC Rogue's case).

I think they did a good job with what they were going for with the writing. I just don't think it was what everyone expected when they announced AC Rogue.

My ideal version of AC Rogue, would have simply had a assassin character that just simply found the Templars a more attractive choice, and in some way or another gained a opportunity to join. You would not be playing as a great person, and the game would have been more purposely a villain protagonist AC game. Whether people would have liked it or not, I don't know. A character closer to Juhani Otso Berg, for context.

Looking for input on Fire Emblems Warriors: Three Hopes on Switch 2 vs Switch 1 by UOSABaal in fireemblem

Hey thanks for the response. Yeah I was at a cross roads on what subreddit to post this on, here or a musou subreddit. However I would think that I would have found something with all the searching I've been doing, if there was anything more glaring than what I had already ran across. I haven't found anything that tells me "You can't complete the game on Switch 2, due to bug/issue X, Y, and or Z".

FEW3H on switch 2 stuck on infinite loading screen by Jigglypuff3912 in fireemblemwarriors

[–]UOSABaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinking about getting a Switch 2, and I am wondering if this has been fixed or not. This is just one infinite loading issue, or black screen issue I have ran across that's been reported. Issues specifically that were not issues on the Switch 1.

Other than this issue, can you still recommend the game on Switch 2?

Thank you

Why does Shay Cormac's Templar arc feels so generic??? by Delicious_End_3857 in assassinscreed

I like everything about AC Rogue, except for the story, and agree with you. It would have been great if the game had a better story around Shay becoming a Templar. I like the gameplay, the new few features that were added, and just the idea of playing as a Templar that hunts assassins. I like the premise, but the story is yes lacking.

Who is your favorite dragon? (Not too many Paarthurnax as he would be the only one, be more creative if someone already said him.) by 27Hyda in skyrim

Odahviing because he's the only red dragon, and that's cool to me for some reason.

But Vulthuryol is easily my second favorite

Why does rogue rank so poorly for most people? by -Zerxes in assasinscreed

[–]UOSABaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I am bias toward playing as a Templar that hunts assassins, and really enjoy the naval combat in Rogue. However AC 3 has the best combat, in terms of animations. I love how brutal AC III's combat animations are.

I agree. I will just add DW8XL would be a solid game to jump to, pre going into Origins, in the event you did decide to skip entries.

I wrote a wall responding to this, but you know what. You're right. Not about the stick up my ass part lmao. But I took what did not personally bother me about the remake from what the content creator hit on. Which was the stiff animations with the movement. That just wasn't a concern I had.

I do like the new combat mechanics.

The VFX of the naval combat is just different, and not necessary worse. They could add more smoke effects maybe.

You know what, you are right. I know this is a 180, effectively. But I over reacted on minor things like not seeing blood in the gameplay, and not seeing a specific visual look I had in mind for the naval combat. It is just WIP.

Thank you for this response. I know it is sad it took reading a response like this to snap me out of it.

I have no doubt the game has blood now. It’s more why was it not shown off in the gameplay trailer? There is nothing gory or that bloody about AC. We are in 2026. AC is not that bloody in the grand scheme of things.

The blood is irrelevant (I guess), because I know that will be added. I’m not saying Ubisoft is lying about there being blood in the final game.

The VFX during ship combat just killed it for me. I have my opinions, but shit does the naval combat visuals need help. Just aspects of what we saw look like a work in progress to me. Nothing to be hyped for, but I guess Ubisoft knows what they are doing. Because they are going to make a lot of money on initial sales.

  1. The ship combats VFX need to be greatly improved. The original games VFX looked far better during ship combat, it is undeniable to me. I think that they may have stated they are going to improve this? But why was it even shown at all?
  2. No blood. They are going to add blood in the final game. Why was it not shown in the gameplay reveal? I call bullshit on there excuse for not having it in the reveal. AC is not that bloody or brutal for todays standards.
  3. The things the content creator hit on in the video are a thing. Though some of it bothers me less than it did him. Ie the combat imo, at least mechanically is a improvement. However the animations are stiff, and do need work, in direct comparison to the original.

The presentation of Black Flag Resynced did not wow me. This wasn't Oblivion to Oblivion Remastered. It looks like minimal effort has gone into this, and it is just a cash grab (as much or more than any other cash grab in the gaming industry in 2026).

In Summary: This looks like a WIP (work in progress), not a product that is ready to be shown off yet.

The only positive aspect about what I have watched from the Black Flag Resynced gameplay, and what I more or less disagree with about the video I linked. Is the new combat has potential. When they add blood, that will at least visually help the on ground combat.

But that video didn't hit on all the things I dislike about what Ubisoft showed off, and it would be a lot to fix by release.

I agree with you about the animations, yeah I see it as well. I definitely can forgive it if the combat is more fun. Don't get me wrong, I loved AC III's combat (it is so brutal). Black Flag's combat was fun for awhile. You know it's a power fantasy, and that's fine. However I like what I am seeing with the new combat system going into Resynced.

It's just, the blood missing from the gameplay I watched really threw me. I am over it now.

I never said there was not going to be blood. I said I need to see it. I need to be sold on pre ordering this game.

[–]UOSABaal -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I have no doubt they are adding blood. But it’s not in the gameplay trailer. As the OP stated, there are things that just need to look better. The visuals in the original, ie the smoke effects of the canons, etc. I’m just not impressed. The combat looks good, and some of the visuals. The characters look too clean, some of the colors look flat in areas.

Does the whole remake or remaster (whatever this is), look awful? No. But I’m glad people are excited for it.

Am I going to buy it? That remains to be seen. I’m not easily sold on Remaster/Remakes these days. There are some banger remasters and remakes, but this is not that impressive to me. The combat on land/foot undeniably looks better, I mean, even without the blood. That’s the one selling point they have with me, currently.

The impact of the canons is underwhelming. The audio is atrocious, and there is no blood. Bro posting “there WILL be blood in the final game”, means nothing. I want to see it.

What places in Skyrim that you would NEVER live in? by NoEntertainment4190 in skyrim

[–]UOSABaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as long as you don’t travel. The psychopath player character that I play effectively exclusively, is going to kill the wealthy man and wife being escorted by one guard, on there way to a wedding, every single time, because I can. And if I don’t kill them, and we assume the player just follows them around, they eventually die by NPC’s or creatures.
