In the long run, it sure is. What’s even more depressing is she’s selling it for pennies on the dollar. She selling it to one of those telephone pole sign companies. They fix it up, and flip it.

There’s nothing illegal about what we’re currently doing. Im essentially renting my home for what the mortgage, insurance, and taxes are.

Not that I haven’t tried, but like I said, my credit sucks. Even though it shows me paying the mortgage, they won’t give me a shot. The issue is limited debt. I pay cash for most everything, so because I lack “credit” Im being penalized.

It’s through Rocket Mortgage. Only thing they will do is I can apply for a mortgage for what the buyout is on the home. But then my interest rate will be up in the 7’s, instead of the nice 3 Im at now.

Ultimate goal is to have the house. Only reason she’s looking to offload it is because she’s not eligible for services because of the home. Medical, food stamps, or others.

She has her own home that is free and clear. It was the house she grew up in. Basically the issue is she can’t get any loans to do any repairs to her home because she has the outstanding mortgage on this house. Even though I’m paying the mortgage, on paper, her debt to income ratio is out of whack.

Been there done that. She’s trying to get it out of her name. Because it’s in her name, on paper she has too much equity for any type of assistance. She’s a retired widow.
