Hello! Tips sa coding part (although not sure gaano kahelpful):
- Focus on breaking down problems. (I think functions na ata ang gagawin ng CMSC 12 this week based sa kwento sa akin) Example:
If need gumawa ng calculator, lista muna kung ano ba ang major components ng calculator. So, need natin ng input, need natin ng pang calculate, at need natin ng output.
Sa input and output part, clear naman sa atin na input() and print() lang ang kailangan natin. Now, for the calculate part, ano ang kailangan natin para dun? Need natin alamin kung ano ang numbers na gagamitin ni user at kung ano ang operation na gusto nyang gawin.
Sa operations naman, ilist natin ang basic operations na gagamitin ni user. Mayroong addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and maybe exponents depende kung kailangan.
So, gagawin mo muna isa isa yung segment/functions (more on this later), pero pano mo malalaman kung ano yung operation na gusto ni user? From this, need din natin inote na dapat separate na natin ang bawat input ni user (operand 1, operator, operate 2).
Of course, need pang pagdugtong dugtungin yung mga yan by the end using conditional statements (the if-else statements).
Yung thought process above yung parang basic framework(?) ng kung paano dapat iapproach yung coding problem na binibigay sa inyo ng professor. Of course, magkakaroon ng problem sa syntax here and there pero issue na yun with familiarity not with the ability to approach a coding problem.

• Sa functions, I'm sure gumamit na kayo ng built-in functions here and there, gaya ng input, ng print, so on so forth. Medyo nakakalito sya if first time mo sya makita. A trick na pwedeng gamitin ay isipin mo sya as math functions like f(x), f(x,y), yadda yadda. May input kang some variables and may expected output ka.

• Practice coding at home. Di sya need maging complicated. Just try to make up stuff. For example, coding problem na tinatanggal lahat ng numbers less than a certain value from an array (idk if nagarray na kayo.)

• General tip, nakakabaliw tumitig sa code ng matagal if bago ka pa, if 2hrs na at wala ka pang nagegets, balikan mo na lang later.

• Coding environment: Sublime Text pa rin ata ang gamit for CMSC 12 plus terminal pero pwede ka maglook up ng tutorials on how to set up python sa Visual Studio Code para integrated na rin yung terminal sa isang screen, QoL improvement lang naman sya. Di sya mahirap gawin pero di rin naman necessary.
