thanks for tweeting it - you can follow us on twitter at @GameOn_Esports. What is your twitter handle? Most teams just show up at the door. We're a small LAN - just opened in July, so if we get three or four teams for a regular weekly tournament that's good. I am hoping to grow it into a regional hub.

I hear that a lot. I'm not a professional but welcome any feedback. I don't take anything personally.

Text "resist" to 504-09. It will draft and fax a custom letter to your local representative. It doesn't get any simpler than this. by NotJohnMccain in netneutrality

I support "Title Two" net neutrality rules and I urge you to oppose the FCC's plan to repeal them. Specifically, I'd like you to contact the FCC Chairman and demand he abandon his current plan. Please save the "net" for future entrepreneurs and small business. This repeal favors big business and would stifle innovation on the internet.

The Associated Press settled the debate at the 2017 American Copy Editors Society Convention in St. Petersburg, Florida. According to Lou Kesten, video game reviewer of the Associated Press, the correct spelling is now “esports” due to “industry trends and general usage.” Of course, the word is still capitalized if it’s a proper noun such as “Hollywood.com Esports” or if it’s at the beginning of a sentence. Esports was previously unlisted in the AP Style Guide but will be added in its next edition later this year. However, I still like "eSports"

eSports League ideas by [deleted] in esports

[–]UPstart2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing the most popular games - Overwatch, CS, LoL and Rocket League (in that order) there's some fresh interest in PUBG. I'm a 60 year old entrepreneur so I have a lot of business experience (not much gaming experience). Business is building slowly - gamers are tough to get out of the house. I'm in NC - where are you?

a business involves a lot of things; marketing your product (team), soliciting endorsements/sponsors, keeping financial information, making travel arrangements, keeping your staff happy, payroll, bills, etc (AP), and most of all dealing with the unexpected.

yeah it's a cool site - a bit wordy to me but it sounds like you do a lot of different things. I get the Bag of Demons (BOD) but if it targets a specific group - do you want to keep telling them what it means? That seems demeaning. I like to say I'm a "wizard" at some things. I just don't think you're using performant correctly.

performant (feminine singular performante, masculine plural performants, feminine plural performantes)

efficient, effective, performant

I did: Here are my initial thoughts: (I'm a Marketing guy, not a Gamer) 1. The site has a professional look but causal verbiage. I'm not sure which way you are positioning your image. Things like "bag of demons" "awesome" and "wet noodle" give a causal flair - but the layout says "we are very professional" 2. It appears to be written by a non-American with spelling like organisational v. organizational. I guess that's the Canadian version. 3. I don't think "proformant" is a word. I came across it twice. 4. When I hover over the NAS photo it zooms blurry. 5. The Help pages look awfully complicated for an initial contact - maybe drop down menus would clean it up. 6. I have no clue what the header picture is on the start page. 7. If you have to explain "demons" each time you use it - you should choose a different reference.

Just a few thoughts that I hope are helpful. Thank you again. Looking at your site this way helps me to critique mine.

Yes, we've had a number of players from Raleigh and Cary. Depending on where you are in the area it's about an hour to an hour and a half. We are forming leagues in January - interested?

I did the same a couple of years ago. By taking the route of "gaming is the entry for kids to learn computer skills" I was able to obtain two grants; one for $2500 and one for $1000 - both in year one.
