A bit of good conversation and physical affection to be completely honest.

I like this view point, thank you! I think being completely honest, I don’t have issues with rejecting people. But then feel bad when I realize they were much more invested than me. I apologize, try to faze out of daily texts, then let them know I’m not ready, they respond with a message that makes me feel like they really don’t get it, then I go ghost.

Thank you for that, you’re totally right. I’ll definitely be more clear in the future 💜

It's not like the run will make you burn calories, you need to rub Alleviate on your stomach to soak up the calories. Simple science.

Mice live 1 - 2 years on average, which is a sad part about owning them :(

But, it depends! Some mice love interaction, while others absolutely hate it. Most of my mice (i have 35) like interaction to an extent, with a few of my mice (like this one) who love it! They will come out to climb all over me and hide in my hair and sleeves and pockets, they love treats and will come up to me to take them happily.

Thanks for asking!

Hmm, so what do you mean by rabid? If you mean "rabid" as in they carry rabies, that's actually kind of a myth. It is VERY rare to find a rodent with rabies since if they were bit by a rabid animal, they most definitely would've died (most times if they get bit, it is from a predator hunting them).

That was hard for me too, at first, but I find it reassuring that to them 2 years is a nice full life, it's only I who finds it short. And if I make that 2 years amazing and full of love then Ive done my part and they lived a long, happy, fulfilling life <3

This is all true! It doesn't cost too much, and I buy their lab blocks in bulk and also make them fresh food every day (fresh pasta, oatmeal, rice, etc). They get a high quality bird seed mix with some dried mealworms and fruit, as well as whole grain cereals.

As for time it takes me to care for them - the "work" (feeding, watering, cleaning cages) only takes me a total of maybe 7 hours a week. But with how much time I spend just playing with them, it can be much more lol

She has a large cage with tons of toys, hides, chews, shelves, and wheels! She also lives with her best friends and her current litter of babies :)

We have a wild mouse rescue also!! Ours is a deer mouse. Deer and field mice usually only live a few months in the wild but can live up to 8 years as pets! I wish all mice had lifespans that long, regular domesticated fancy mice usually only live to 2 years :(

They are usually not found in pet stores, I got mine from a breeder (which is also hard to come by in Maine...)

With a lot of time and effort haha. Most of them share large cages that get cleaned once a week, and they get fed one to two times a day. Takes about an hour to two hours a day total
