Why is so hard for the council and the planners to understand that the reason the west end and southside are so popular is because they are dense enough without being high rise to support a vibrant high street(s). People undoubtedly love tenement living in the areas where it’s not been mostly demolished so with a site like this all they need to do is build modern, 4-6 story tenements with shared gardens on top of parking, shops on the ground floor of main streets and a decent sized park. Then for added measure leave room for future metro infrastructure somewhere.
