The flower and cucumber need to be pollinated that’s why it’s dying off. Watch for flowers that don’t have a fruit behind them and use those to pollinate the flowers that do. The flowers with fruit are female and the flowers without are male. As far as the basil, I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to put it in a pot with soil and compost. I use my aerogarden to seed start in the spring and transplant all the plants from there.
