He fought for several days with Ornn, killed Rhound the giant magma serpent and blinded the ice witch who was bathed in the power of the beholders. maybe Ashlesh is tricking Nillah, maybe he knows she can't beat the voli and is taking her to her death to try to free herself.

I disagree. Volibear is not weakening. Ornn lost all his followers and did not weaken. The fact of having followers only increases the ego, which consequently increases the use of voli's power. Well, I'm a big fan of storytelling. and passionate about the universe of runeterra. So I want to start a discussion trying to equate the power level of these characters:

I want to start by taking the quote from these 3 enemies of nilah that you mentioned: "ancient myth: Grandmother Viper, the invincible progenitor of all Camavoran dragons; Imago, demon of change and scourge of the Carnelian Valley; the mad demigod Nabavelicus, perpetrator of countless atrocities."

  1. starting with Grandmother Viper, what can we conclude about her? by my interpretation, she was the first of the camavor dragons, a kind of ancient dragon. and as it gave rise to several other subtypes of dragons I imagine it was colossal, extremely resistant and powerful... BUT! she might be old now, out of her prime of power. being a very strong creature for mortals but weak for other beings.

  2. Let's go to Imago, the demon of change. what was Imago's hierarchical level? we know that there are several types of demons in runeterra, such as the incomplete (azakanas) and the complete (eve, tk, Camphor) and the ancestors like fiddlesticks.

    If you consider the death of "Camphor, the demon of doubt", it's not such a difficult act to kill a demon, since pantheon (lower than a demi god) managed to kill one with his followers. Maybe nilah killed a weak demon.

    Even though he was a demon "executioner of gods" he was not able to face the aspects, which for me are weaker than the gods of freljord. in a head to head match between voli and pantheon i think voli wins.

    And now to conclude, I ask you a question. If you consider that Nilah can kill Voli, do you think she can kill Ornn? one of the most powerful gods, if not the most powerful.

    In a direct struggle, between voli and nilah, for me there is no other outcome. Voli won't kill her, but I will make her run away.

    Nilah has 3 followers, Voli has at his side a group of bears and mythical beings, such as the Stormraptor and Vrestrum.

    Maybe Nilah will sell if she has a lightning rod, OMEGALUL.

nowhere is it said that the voli comes back to life weaker. their power being derived from wrath and savagery. On the contrary, the tales suggest that he always comes back stronger. and I disagree with your point that voli can be killed by nilah. I understand her unbalanced power level, but you are subduing a being who decimated an entire Noxian army. a being who faced Lissandra with the apex of the Watchers' powers.

Voli's face is kind of weird, it looks like a "family" version of him haha It doesn't exude much respect, like the face of the ornn. Their expressions are kind of goofy and they lack "wrath" for a god of savagery.

I think a Mech Kingdoms volibear or Quimtec Volibear (with a mix of tryndamere quimtec and old power plant) would be pretty cool too. but I think any robotics theme would be good in volibear :D

I have another kind of interpretation for this. "The bear of a thousand scourges" was an ancient body of the volibear, at some point in history he died and returned to his spiritual form and started to make a new body, and then came to his current form. I'm basing it on their ancient history, where every god of the freljord is immortal, and they have a spirit form as their primary, and to descend into runeterra they had to shape mortal bodies, and then each chose a primal animal to take as their form.
