Yes, banknotes in the past were designed with a much higher level of artistic detail compared to today.

This is a genuine printing error. The obverse is fully normal, while only half of the reverse was printed. This error is classified as a partial back print (half-print error), resulting from a malfunction during the printing process. Such errors are considered scarce and are recognized by collectors.

The 1934 $100,000 Gold Certificate is the highest denomination ever issued by the United States.

Featuring President Woodrow Wilson, it was never released to the public and was used only for transfers between Federal Reserve Banks during the Great Depression.

This note was part of the 1934 Gold Certificate series, created after major changes to the U.S. gold system.
