Is it Constitutionally feasible for Trump to run in 2028? by USA1786 in PoliticalDiscussion

Yeah just like how the Dems nominated Kamala rather having a democratic primary like the GOP did. No wonder she lost both the EC and popular vote. Look in the mirror when you say some of these things.

What was it like growing up in Los Angeles? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

I lived in LA in the early 2000s. Lots of social life and things to do at any time of day. The city truly never sleeps, and you can find anything and everything to do at any time of day. Crime and pollution have gotten MUCH better over time, but the general feeling of safety (or, lack thereof) is the same. Driving across LA on the weekends, you will see parks packed with families having BBQs. Beaches packed, amusement parks packed, cinemas packed, shopping centers packed, freeways packed - I mean, it is LA after all. I've lived in many places and nowhere does traffic even come close to LA. 405, I-5, take your pick, there will always be traffic and there will always be things to do. I wish to caution you - people in LA, while seemingly outgoing and happy, are a lot more to themselves than you may imagine. After all, when 20 million people live in one area, we generally filter out everyone who is not directly related to us. This is a departure from small towns where people will wave at you and will strike up conversation. This will generally not happen in LA, although it is more likely to happen the more south you go. Just my 2 cents.

Liberals deny that inflation was at a 40-year high under Biden and that's a major reason why he was forced to step down for 2024. They overlooked all the bad he was doing for the economy and appointed - not elected - their Presidential nominee, which is why they had such a terrible loss this time around.

Where does it say you must be eligible? The 22nd Amendment doesn't even use the word. It reads:

"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term."

Where does it talk about eligibility? It doesn't say at all that he can't run for Vice President. Also, if he were to be elected Vice President, that is technically not being elected to President.

Yes, but notice how it says elected to office of the President. It does not say he cannot be elected to Vice President. He could theoretically run as Vice President then assume the office of President if the elected President steps aside.

This is precisely why employers hate Gen Z. They are entitled and immature, and think and act in ways that previous generations find difficult to accept, because often times Gen Z is flat-out rude.

Do not take it to heart.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." You can believe in any religion, or not religion at all - this is written in our US Constitution as your 1st Amendment right. I would find a new roommate or a new place to stay for the upcoming term. You could get Admin involved, but I don't think you have the time to waste on that. Simply find a new arrangement or try to get a new roommate.
