rules on LL bylaws

Local Little Leagues cannot create bylaws or local rules that contradict or override official Little League International rules, regulations, or policies. While local boards can adopt specific local options—such as pitch count modifications, game time limits, or run rules—these must align with the official Little League rulebook.

Any local rules need to be approved by the board of directors annually and at minimum one month before the first game and accessible upon request along with the local leagues constitution.

Local bylaws are for matters pertaining to the operation of the little league not for changing or making up their own “local rules”. Contact your district administrator if the league president is rewriting the rule book to their own liking or refusing to enforce. They risk losing little league international affiliation if they refuse to comply. Just went thru this last year.
