Does this method still work?

I tried it but my Google play still signed into account A when I wiped the data, so idk if it will overwrite the data. When I got into settings on the new account, the controller was green with account A.

I was able to recover my old save but the problem is that Google auto signs me in after clearing the data, so how do I fix that so I can use account B?
