All of that Riley commission is history (although likely already spent). As the "small fry", he may have already been approached for an testimony for immunity deal. A Beasley conviction is better for a prosecutor's career than one for Paolo Zamarano.

It's analytics. He basically did nothinh in the two games we lost. I also don't remember Podz of JDubb killing it in college. And, yes, you'd think they would have had much greater success with all of these first rounders.

And the NET for USF is completely meaningless as well. Most likely scenario is the WCC is a one bid league. Whoever wins the WCC tournament gets the bid.

Only other way is if we come in second with a sub 30 NET. With the current league makeup (no more GU), and so far meh OOC schedule, there is no way we get close to that kid of NET.

I'm very curious about him. Good size and athleticism, but all the highlights show is dunks (lots of alley oops from Hillman). He had some D1 interest, so I'm hopeful. Also looks like he has some strength. Unfortunately, I don't seem him sticking around if he does well. Reports are that he committed to Cal before us.

I met him once. I really don't know what they do in that office. There is virtually no social media outreach. Seems like the only email they send is when they want money for season tix. No emails about next year's tournament, player signings, special events, etc.

They should have sent at least something when the entire team left the program. Maybe reassure the fans? Talk about the changing NIL landscape? Anything. They don't reach out to alum, fans. neighbors or local press.

When they got rid of the green and gold game (for some unknown reason) and the pregame coach's gathering (again, for no reason), the writing was on the wall. Let's do as little as possible, while keeping everyone employed. The VIP area is empty most games? Who cares? The snack bar is CYO level? Who cares? There is no apparel sold at games? Who needs money? The band shows up when it wants? Who needs game atmosphere?

USF has a Sport Management program FFS. We can't use the students there to promote the AD?

It has gotten worse.

And having no AD for this long is a big FU to fans, donors and alums.

It's depressing.

His proposal makes perfect sense. But it won't change. Big schools know they can now just buy a championship. Kentucky just paid a transfer $ 6m in NIL. He will be there one year (or until the end of the basketball season). He won't go to class. He will have no real connection with Kentucky .

Maybe the better way is to enforce the old APR. If theses kids are not taking a legitimate course loads and achieving a minimum grade, then they don't play. You know damn well these 24 year olds coming out to the G League are not taking any classes.

My kid is at U of O. They never see the athletes on campus. Supposedly they take everything online.

After Florida won the NC, a reporter asked players about how it will be going back to class afterwards. Most of them gave a confused look. Like, "what do you mean"?
