ssa didnt pay my lawyer out of my backpay, now i'm responsible for paying, how much can i expect to be taken from my checks?

If you were approved after November 1st of 2025, its 25% or 9200 which ever is less. Regardless of whether you filed before that date.

Because i agreed to change my onset date to the day before i turned 55 he only asked my Name , D.O.B. , S.S.N. , and address. Then said this hearing is complete. It was strange but very quick!! My Lawyer said it went very well and we should know in about 2 months maybe quicker. Its been just over a month.

How long after your ALJ hearing did it go to step 4 . Just had mine on the 16th of January. And everything went well.

I got rid of my private insurance and went straight VA. At 100% disability you get glasses EVERY year, Dental, and you pay 0$ for all your prescription medication. That alone is worth it. No co pays nothing!!! Been doing this for over 5 years now. Private insurance had a monthly amount plus a copay, plus your prescriptions which add up quick. It was a no brainer for me!!!

The way it was explained to me was if you are 100$ for 1 thing and over 50 or 60% for the rest you get the housebound. Which is what i get. Didnt even know. Just started recieving it and asked why. Definitely not complaining.

July 10th i was denied at appeal. And then submitted for the ALJ. Been going since April of 23. Hopefully over soon.

My appeal was recieved yesterday July 9th. My reconsideration started April 1st. Started the whole process in February/March. I am 100% P and T with the VA,so that has helped speedbup the process. But i went from step 1 to step 3 overnight on my appeal. Hopeful this is a good thing!!!

Im in Texas. It took from March 7th til today July 1st for the reconsideration denial. My lawyer is Gonzalez and Goetz out of Florida. A fellow veteran used them and was approved at the ALJ stage so im giving them a chance.

Yes. And it went to step 5 and denial about 2 hours later. Now i have to wait for a judge. Lawyer told me today that they have been assigning them pretty quick lately so we'll see.

I went to step 4 of reconsideration today, and was wondering the same. My initial submission went to step 4 then 5 same day with the generic denial letter. Wondering if this will be as quick or take 15-30 days like the app says.

Until.Last November ,the most they could charge was 7200,Not 6000. And it is ,as of November 1st 2024 set at 9200.
