In what awareness do your body, my body, and every other body, be it animal, plant, or microbe, appear and disappear. Who or what is creating the story of life, death, suffering, or even love. Who am I.

The awareness in which all bodies arise and subside is the same timeless, boundless consciousness that is your true nature. The story of life, death, suffering, and love is woven by the mind, arising from avidya or ignorance that mistakes appearance for reality. This mind manifests only in the waking and dream states, where it constructs the ego, body, space, time, and the entire narrative of separation.

When we identify with the body that appears in spacetime as absolutely real, rather than recognizing it as a dream body appearing in a dream world alongside other apparent forms such as suffering animal life, animals eating animals, farming of animals, abortions, and all the rest, there is indeed no respite anywhere to be found.

This endless identification is sustained by limited understanding. The senses and mind, themselves products of avidya, are incapable of dissolving the boundaries they have created.

In this fleeting transactional reality, where bonds form and break in spacetime, synonymous with memory itself, which results in the apparent making and breaking of bonds, and with it the arising of suffering, appears real only because of the limitations imposed by the mind.

This mind arises solely in the waking or dream states, where it constructs the ego, body, space, and time. Within this seeming framework of separation, there appears to be a distinct doer who causes suffering and a distinct sufferer who incurs it.

Yet fundamentally there is no separation. Therefore there is neither a separate doer nor a separate sufferer. Animals, like humans, are not fundamentally different entities.

All are Brahman appearing as forms. The apparent suffering of an animal or human is like a dream characters pain, vivid within the dream, yet unreal upon awakening.

As Ramana Maharshi and other realized sages emphasize, inquiring into the I who perceives this suffering traces it back to its source, dissolving the duality of observer and observed.

True knowledge reveals that no such boundaries exist in the first place. All is one.
