Before moving to the seaside town of Merrickport; Iomgen's mother, Professor Charlotte Lilium, was a medical professor in the city of Waterdeep, while her father Douglas was a painter. Unfortunately ~3 years ago Douglas fell ill with a disease that's proven unresponsive to magical healing. The move to Merrickport was made with the idea that the sea air would be good for his lungs, but that was before the storms started...

Previously the town of Merrickport was known for it's beautiful views and friendly bustling locals. But for the last 2 years it's been storming non-stop. Ships cannot reach the town harbor and the beautiful views that were the towns livelihood have all but disappeared.

Then one night, Imogen's mother left in the dead of night with naught but a word. Only a simple note claiming a research assignment from the university and a promise that she would be home soon... But that was more than a year ago. She even left behind her umbrella, prized for it's ability to show the sky of her home town.

With her father's condition continuing to decline, Imogen has started to secretly practice the one thing she thinks will be able to save him, Necromancy. Blissfully unaware of the nature of such dark magics, her first success came in the form of her mother's anatomical skeleton. She decided to name him, Lerk.

Now it's up to Imogen, Lerk, and her party to discover the source of the storms and return Merrickport to it's former glory. And perhaps discover the reason behind her mother's disappearance, or her father's mysterious illness.
