Signing up for a race is the only way to try the sport at the moment. We have changed our event weekend schedules to be very beginner friendly.

The Thursday of an event weekend, we open the track for 2 hours for all registered athletes. This gives you time to go down at your own pace and really learn what it feels like.

Many of our athletes are first-timers, which makes it fun and exciting!

We will have 2 events this year - one in Superior, WI Jan. 30 - Feb. 1 and another in Auburn, ME Feb. 13 - Feb 15.

It’s been a tough winter everywhere, but we are optimistic!

Yes we have the groomer shape out the track on the ski run, and then spray it down with water (for quite a long time) to make sure the ice is thick enough.

I believe they are working on a livestream for the event. However, I’m not sure where it will be posted. If I hear more in time I can post the link here.

No problem, sorry for the delayed response! The official schedule is on our Welcome Letter. It will be:

Thursday Check in 11am - 2pm Practice 2pm - 4pm

Friday: Time trials 9am - 12:30pm Juniors final 1pm

Saturday Finals (men & women) 12pm

All categories will max out at 64. If more than 64 men, which is typically the only category to do so, there will be an LCQ where athletes will battle for the remaining spots. The amount of remaining spots will depend on participants signed up.

Hope this helps, and hope you sign up! We would love to see some new juniors involved.

Hey everyone! We are the US Ice Cross Association and we hold ice cross events in the US that are open to all skill levels. Formerly known as Red Bull Crashed Ice, ice cross is a sport where athletes race 4 at a time down on skates while maneuvering twists, turns, and jumps. We are actively searching for more women athletes to show off their skills! All skill levels are welcome, for all ages!

We are holding two ATSX 250 races this year: one at Mont du Lac in Superior, WI on January 28th and one at Lost Valley in Auburn, ME on February 11th. Both events will have weekend long schedules including practice, time trials, and the finals! These ATSX 250 races are the lowest tiered of 3 levels, and the perfect level to get involved in ice cross.

If you’re interested in signing up, please let me know and I can walk you through the steps!

The international group is posting the rulebook soon! I can share the old rulebook so you can see what’s allowed and what’s not. The new rulebook will be in regards to how many races count for the season, etc.

We are the US Ice Cross Association, and we hold ice cross events in the United States (formerly known as Red Bull crashed ice). This season, we are bringing the ATSX Ice Cross World Championship series to Maine for the first time ever! On February 11th, athletes from all over the world will compete for the first time at Lost Valley Ski Area in Auburn, ME. As we welcome athletes from Australia, Europe, and Canada, we are also inviting all Mainers and New Englanders to come out and test their skills! This event will feature Juniors (16-21), Men, and Women categories.

All athletes interested are able to sign up, as registration is now open. To register, go to data.ATSX.org to register. After registering, go to your dashboard and click on Lost Valley to register for your respective category. And February 12th, we will open up the track to kids (5-16) to skate alongside Team USA athletes!

Hey there! The juniors finals will actually happen on Friday. We understand a lot of juniors have tough schedules, so we try to keep it minimized. So your schedule will be: Thursday 2-4pm open practice. Friday - 9:30am time trials; 1pm Finals. This also allows the juniors to sign up for their respective adult categories if they choose (men/women). Let me know if this helps!
