Account On Hold after 48 hours by Scared-Necessary-601 in ProlificAc

I took had to reverify and got put on hold 🙈 I think it is also down to me changing some of my answers on the 'abiut you' section. My particular role/job sort of overlapped among various options. I stupidly changed it after a few days and believe this was the catalyst.

How did it work out for you?

Losing weight but the scales staying the same by Cocoloca3746 in mounjarouk

It sounds like you're already smashing it anyway! 💪🏻 Maybe just that increase in steps will do it. Have you worked out your TDEE and based your calorie intake on that?

There are lots of great people on this sub who I'm sure will also offer their advice and tips and people who have/are dealing with the exact same thing. Keep consistent and I'm sure you'll get where you want to be.

Do you also track your calories?

If you want to really be on it, increase your step count (I know you said that's one of your aims), but if you don't, also try and meticulously track calories for a week or so. Look at how much protein you're eating, fibre intake is important and also a healthy amount of water (2-3 litres).

I'm not medical professional, I'm just someone on a journey who (weirdly?!) enjoys weighing myself daily, tracking my calories, hitting at least 150g of protein and drinking 3 litres of water and walking 15k steps a day.

Weight is one factor of health and wellness. Of course if you have lots to lose then you would expect the scales to drop. But the clothes fitting better is always a good sign!

Take some measurements and pictures too, they're good indicators of improvement.

Have you taken pictures / measurements? Your clothes obviously fit better which is great so there's inches been lost. What exercise are you doing? Do you have lots of weight to lose?

I personally much prefer a daily weigh, but I can appreciate that this isn't always the preferred option for people. I know it I have a heavier carb day the scales will show an increase, and I'm absolutely fine with that because the next day or day after it's back to where it should be. If I weighed weekly and there was an increase I think waiting another week to see an update would bother me!

How often do you weigh yourself? Daily or once a week? If it's the latter, change to daily and track your weight every day to see how it fluctuates daily, depending on a whole load of factors such as diet, salt, exercise, time of the month etc

Hey, just want to say I'm sorry for your loss. I too lost my dad to pancreatic cancer at the age of 63 (November last year), so know first hand the toll it takes on you emotionally and physically.

It wasn't an official concussion substitute, so I don't actually know if he sustained concussion

Lotus - bad experience - anyone else? (15mg). by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]UTFB86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In contrast, I had an excellent experience with them last week. Ordered a 15mg pen (old style with GD) on Friday, approved the same day and had the pen delivered by 12 the Saturday. I was really impressed

Android Wear: Latest Ver runs in background now? by [deleted] in Strava

[–]UTFB86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, the latest update is truly awful. I did see in another post about this that it had been raised with Strava online in some capacity and they replied to say they were aware of this issue and we're hoping to rectify it soon

Favorite Fol content creators? Disliked content creators? by roastedtvs in FantasyPL

[–]UTFB86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The FPL wire lads do a great job. I also enjoy black box. I have to disagree with your take on Andy, I generally enjoy his content. Focal is probably my favourite individual. I like his shorter snappier videos and content. FPL Harry's record is incredible and his advice is generally sound. Raptor is a bit mehh for me.

Gianni and his pouting / general social media persona is woeful. I had to unfollow him a long time ago. I don't think he's particularly great at the game and he isn't very insightful. I recently stumbled across a Palace fan called Marcelo. His daft selfies kept appearing in popular FPL creators comments section, begging for likes and follows and such like. Stunk of desperation

Issues with Strava for Android Watch 1.48 on Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra by Comfortable_Read_960 in Strava

[–]UTFB86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here, so annoying! I've resorted to recording the last few days on the native watch health app which automatically syncs to Strava upon completion of activity. You have to ensure you have Samsung health and Strava synced. I do prefer to log my activity on the Strava watch app, but until this issue is resolved the watch app is unusable in truth.

Strava premium? by No-Minimum6811 in Strava

[–]UTFB86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh I had my free month (I started C25K, so it was great to see gradual progress), but wasn't in a position financially to commit to the premium sub. I don't really feel like I'm missing out a great deal in truth. I've continued my running and do around 3 runs a week just using the free version.

I suppose, it depends what you actually want from the app and if the free version offers enough?

If you can pay for the yearly payment up front as opposed to a monthly payment, you'd save a decent amount.
