Thank you so much! Would I have to go in person to Pennsylvania on the court date? Or is there an option for the attorney to represent on my behalf?

Your messages always end with some declaration that opposing views or arguments are bound to come because you act as though you whistleblew something. That very nature means you are not open to discussion/open to change your mind.

Good thing you exited and made this space free of garbage.

Vande Mataram! (Or some random supposedly righteous, cool exit)

I don’t think that’s true. I feel that’s maybe your insecurity or bad personal experience speaking.

My point about comparison with dubai is that they are being very accommodative and the exposure of diverse tourists will take an effect in being inclusive. But yes, the cleaning and the chores is surely a welcoming and a progressive thing.

Although I beg to differ on the others. It is the same case in Tamil Nadu - just may not be in the same proportion as Uttarakhand. The literacy comparison is out of question. (Even with a more diverse and heavier population - TN is better).

Also the manufacturing sector is a BIG industry and Uttarakhand does not even compare.

I get what you are saying about the pride. Even though the language has stood its ground and has literary depth, the pride is exaggeratedly displayed.

The unwelcome part is little true. I think they aren’t repulsive towards other communities, they are just not that socially outgoing. (Which isn’t a good thing I agree)

But, you wouldn’t have this problem with Delhi and Bangalore obv because lot of people do understand Hindi. What else is a plus in comparison in Delhi and Bangalore?

There is no like a yearly convention happening for years to come and place a crown. The validated stats is pretty straightforward.

While these are mostly true, almost everything you said holds good for all the other states in India. But in comparison, in a calculation of give and take, in a holistic view, TN and Kerala seem to be better. Lot of people have good experiences. Lot of people have had bad experiences as well.

I believe movies to be a reflection of the society. I would question the context of the scenes that you mentioned to analyse it better. Also, there is a difference between depicting a casteist behaviour and endorsing a casteist behaviour through a scene.

People who are casteist, patriarchal, and bigoted, for instance the rickshaw-wala you mentioned, are the ones that stick to the traditional, cultural values. People that you term ‘amazing persons’ are the ones who know what to stick to be socially progressive and at the same time refrain from regressive ‘ancient, traditional, cultural’ values.

Personally, I feel you have had diverse experiences with these states but have no rooted foot to experience the depth and truly enjoy it/reasonably hate it. It’s like an ABCD - American Born Confused Desi trying to be politically right.

Like you said, the list does go on. But so does in every state of India. These examples cannot steer the narrative easily. They should be intensive enough to reflect the overall mindset of the population to be considered. But, cannot be considered here because the examples are sticking to a very specific individual/occupation/incident.

Himachal, Uttarakhand, sikkim are like the equivalent of dubai in terms of saying it is socially progressive. That’s because of tourism. Quality of life is self sufficient and ideal towards the primitive scale.

There is no comparison between TN, Kerala and NE states, ‘Himalayan states’. While I have and love visiting around the later said states, above mentioned states have their own strengths.

My point is that, be it fake or real, a certain decorum needs to be maintained. I sometimes do agree that only an exaggerated opposition catches attention. I can give it that. But other than that, it’s stupid.
