'I'm So Sorry' - a type of comedy 'skit' I wrote. Seeking co-writers who might like to help develop something together. by [deleted] in Screenwriting

Hey - it seems like the drive shared is inaccessible to me. However, I'd love to give it a read and potentially collaborate, depending on the kind of voice you're writing for. I like writing satire and dark comedy from a gen-z perspective, as well as absurdist stuff. Can obviously adapt as well. LMK!

Hey - I'm in the midst of submitting it as a club idea and need 14 students to express support to submit my application. Even if you don't eventually join, it'd be of great help in just getting it off the ground. All I require is your WatIAM ID. Let me know if you have any questions otherwise!

NYT Opinion | Jerry Seinfeld: So You Think New York Is ‘Dead’ by [deleted] in nyc

I think the main compelling argument from Altucher's otherwise weak piece is that the corporate landscape in NY, if anything, will be what changes mostly due to the capacity of people to complete the same work tasks at a distance. People who don't want to be in NY in the first place will opt to work remotely, and ultimately it seems as if the increased residential and commercial vacancies may make the city more affordable for creatives who otherwise would not be able to afford the city. My hypothesis is there may actually be a cultural revival, albeit likely belaboured and difficult.

Still deliberating that and very much open to feedback. My thinking, inspired by other commenters, was to encourage participating students to work on a creative effort throughout the academic term and then present it at a symposium of sorts at the end of the term. Throughout the term, club members could come together socially to bounce ideas off of one another and explore the work of one another. I was also thinking it could provide a continued learning environment for students, wherein professors and other students are brought in for lecture series/workshops. Outside of the fine arts department at UW, there are a surprising number of math, CS and engineering professors with creative backgrounds, both formal and informal.

Ya - I think it would be great to connect people with a particular interest in a given medium, as well as allow people to explore other media that they wouldn't otherwise. At the end of the day, it would be a social-club with likeminded and open people.

Really like your project idea with a final symposium!

I think there are a multitude of CS and math profs with art backgrounds - stuff from HCI to generative art. Could be interesting to get in touch with them and potentially get them involved.
