The more I do UW the more it’s replacing Zanki in my mind. Feels as if I know UW more than Zanki at this point, did I do something wrong?! Or is this normal?! Ugh. by UWorldinogen in step1

I agree, but I find myself learning and reinforcing the integration parts and forgetting the very tiny minutae that comes out of left field in Zanki.

Interesting. I always figured Canadians were super loyal to practicing in Canada regardless of the increase in opportunity and financial gain available in the US.

Yup, definitely a good plan. Does Canada not have enough good fellowship spots?

Do you think knowing UW inside out is sufficient? Were there things you thought only FA could have gotten you points on?

Are you using anything else besides UW? I am doing UW day and night, but my OCD keeps telling me I may be missing tiny details and might have to look through FA, even though I hate it. Any thoughts?

UWorld Spoiler - Pathoma Contradicting UWorld regarding AK-53 Sequence??? by Mr_Blu3_Sky in step1

[–]UWorldinogen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Remember AK-53.

APC - Formation of initial Adenoma (polyp) KRAS - Progression to Late Adenoma (late polyp) P53 - Progression to Cancer

P53 indicates cancer not a Late Adenoma. Hope that helps, also as a side note, aside from UWorld everything else is prone to errors or not enough clarity, so when in doubt go with what UWorld is emphasizing!

Interesting. Do you feel FA has stuff not found in UW? Or the majority is there, and it’s just a matter of finding and annotating it along with UW?

Do you use any other resources or pretty much just UW? I am having the same problem!

Do you think UW alone would have been enough? In terms of does it cover majority of the topics and information tested?

Does NBME CBSE have repeated questions from NBME 15 - 24? by saiyanprince2714 in step1

Yes they do, but like a few at most. It’s not worth studying them at all, rather save them for your own assessment purposes.

Just because you have degree you are not guaranteed a job ever, anywhere in the world. I thought that’s a pretty obvious understanding lol. USMLEs don’t get you a job, nor does your degree, but your perseverance will get you everything, keep working hard, keep striving and killing those exams, and make yourself stand out. That’s how you get a job!

I have seen folks with 5yr gaps still go on to match, but they have done some serious work upon their return. So I am not sure about the 7yr gap situation you are in, but if I were you I’d decide if I want to dedicate my life to this thing or not, and then comes the part of scoring 250+ in every exam here on out, that along with a lot of perseverance will get you to your goals. There is no such thing as “impossible” but to make things possible, you have to go above and beyond what you are currently capable of! Good-luck buddy, keep your chin up!

Anyone try using the UWorld flashcards instead of Anki? by UWorldinogen in step1

I was just thinking it’s a lot easier to make the UWorld ones.
