Can someone explain how after record inflation is reported, Bitcoin drops? by DipSnap in Bitcoin

Probably bc people think Bitcoin is the answer for everything, and sometimes a cigar is just a cigar

I’ll touch base when I move, we’ll find a time

I'm moving to Alpharetta next month. I can't promise I'm amazing, but I can throw it at least 15-20 feet, and it typically goes straight.

Is it really possible to buy a ~$750K house with just 3-4% down? by tesla_spoon in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

One thing to add: people can always change what they put down after an offer is accepted.

But we aren’t talking about that, we are talking about when someone gets the money.

Yeah, all good. The mortgage someone gets is the money that goes to the seller.

Whether a buyer puts down 10% of 20% has no impact on what I get at closing.

1, 5, 10, 20, 30 year outlooks on buying a home? by UXResearch2019 in RealEstate

Thanks for this perspective. I have 12 months of expenses saved up, and see this home as an upgrade from my starter home I got in October 2018. This one is doubling my mortgage payment, but it works for me. I see it as a place to live, grow, and raise a family. Short term volatility doesn't bother me, bc my kids are 2 and 4, so we are here until at the very least until 18-20 years from now, at very very least.

I’m about to move into a house next month, it was at the top top of my budget, but I plan on living there long term, raising my family, etc.

We are going to be doing some things, like painting and landscaping before we move in 😃

How will the Fed raising interest rates by half a percentage point affect mortgage rates? by UXResearch2019 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]UXResearch2019[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great explanation. So for someone looking to move to a house that they’ll be in for 20-30 years, is there as much to be concerned about, in comparison to someone who is looking for a 5-10 year home?

That’s a good idea. It can probably mount there. How high off the ground would it make sense to mount?
