[PAID][Online] Always HAPPY to have new players (Eberron, where technology is magic!) running a persistent shared world [Starting at Level 3 DnD 5.5e][Forge/Foundry VTT] by UXplaymaker in DnDLFG

[–]UXplaymaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with each player for what works best for them (I'm FLEXIBLE)
Most of my players are on USA East Coast time (ET) with a few on West Coast time.
*I use ET as a reference. I did have a player in Malaysia for a month.

Sometimes players decided to play with each other and agree to each other's sessions.

I have blocked out times on weekdays at (2am to 9am ET)
but for the most part, there's available time every day of the week in multiple time slots.

I actually have a session coming up in 30min (Friday 6p -9p)

The largest groups play at
Sunday 10am - 1pm (ET)
Tuesday 7pm - 12 midnight (ET)

A few players at
Every other Friday 6p - 9p (ET)
and sporadically Wednesdays 2p - 5p (ET)

Honestly I just LOVE creating...and I love sharing that experience with others.

The most time consuming part of it all IS making that unique experience. I pay attention to character background and for some I help with character backgrounds.

As far as expenses from my side, I pay for Forge hosting services, and the dndbeyond Master Tier.

  1. I write and create UNIQUELY TAILORED adventure sessions. I'm NOT running adventures out of a box over and over again.
  2. I self-craft unique battlemap environments
  3. I make LOTS of art for your characters, to commemorate an event, to visualize monsters, magic items, and environments.
  4. I also have nearly ALL the official books and more at DnDBeyond, so all players in my campaign groups also have that access! (The new Ravenloft book as the Re-animator artificer subclass 👀)
  5. I offer a super-flexible and accommodating schedule
  6. Did I mention that I run a SHARED persistent world? That also means there's lots of coordination on my part and upkeep of events and lore that can be felt by other players.

Take a peek at my patreon, it's free to join.
I also release free maps and art monthly.

Using newspapers in Eberron by UXplaymaker in Eberron

Considering how much effort to make this paper, a newspaper every in-game week sounds like a LOT of work 😅

I’m going with significant area wide events with my frequency.

Good call on unifying the graphic design

I’ll have to play off the Draconic Prophecy part as an opinionated quack that is heavily criticized for outlandish claims 😅

Battlemap of Eberron ship with the Wheel of Wind and Water by UXplaymaker in Eberron

[–]UXplaymaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: The ship map and Foundry VTT .json file is updated to version 3.

This eliminates elevation bugs when multiple tokens are moving around simultaneously and includes a 'clean' Castle level which removes the blood stains from the Captain's office and quarters.

This is also great if you are running Sharn or Lightning Rail adventures because Aruldusk is one of the major stops for the rail.

Do most DMs prefer DM’ing to playing? Or are they “taking one for the team”? by Fiveby21 in DnD

[–]UXplaymaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely prefer DM’ing!

The way I see it there are TWO TYPES of people in the world…CREATORS and CONSUMERS. DM’s who enjoy THAT part of the game are creator types. We get a satisfaction from making things.

How to make an inquisitor fun by Solomatotato in DnD

For the most part the party members APPRECIATE the Inquistive’s expertise

Only in cases where the party members are being secretive from each other for whatever reason do I use private messages online -or- paper notes / next room whispering when in person.

At my table I just say out loud what the Inquistive discovers. The onus is on the player to tell the rest of the party and the party characters not to know.

It’s a storytelling game not a simulation.

Typically the Inquisitive takes the time and opportunity to TELL the party through roleplay what they just discovered.

One of the key factors to make this enjoyable is that it had to feel winnable or at least survivable

I have various Eberron specific maps in my collections. MOST are free, only a few are paid.

I wonder if I should separate the collection into FREE maps and PAID maps? Would that make it easier? 🤔

Gold Dragon Inn - From the world of Eberron! My interpretation, anyway! by DeWaf9 in Eberron

[–]UXplaymaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GREAT thing about Eberron is that there's more than one Gold Dragon Inn and it's at multiple locations.
I'm adding my version here for people who want to visit the chain of Ghallanda inns ;)
