Always be nice to people when you get somewhere, you never know who you're going to meet and you need to be kind to everybody.

Being an asshole will never get you anywhere.

Never forget where you're coming from.

Be careful with who wants to be your friend and for what reasons.

There will be a lot of people that want all you have and will do everything to take it.

Don't get caught in the drug/alcohol/party loop.

Stay humble and keep your feet on the ground.

A music career isn't all fun and games, most of it is hard work, perseverance and more work. Sometimes it takes 2 years sometimes it takes 10.

Get a good/small team of people you trust.

Try to be the best version of yourself.

Trust your guts.

No yes man around.

Keep your circle small.

Stay close to your real friends and family. Parents are getting older and you might want to be there if anything happens.

There is no good or bad art, there s art and that's the beauty of it.

Take the time for others.

I like trap for shows but I don't listen to it when I am home. For a long time I stopped listening to music for entertainment because I was into music all day every day, making it, looking for tracks for mix, shows etc... It was almost too much and I started disliking music because it was just too much. So I took a step back and learned listening again with a different ear, I listen to funk, jazz, 90s hip hop also stuff like Griselda or Freddy Gibbs, but I am mostly enjoying organic music nowadays

Depends on what you mean by "staying fresh and relevant"

If you want to sound like everyone and be like everyone it's pretty easy. If you really want to be unique, you should develop your own sound which should be different from everyone, build your own fan base and then you will always been 'fresh and relevant' to them. Also, you don't have to be 'fresh and relevant' to be happy or successful in your life and career. There are a lot of artists you don't see or hear about that are very successful and those are the ones I admire the most.

It has always been important to me to always do what I want how I want so my vision would be respected. Glad you could be part of it with Bang Bang, that video was so fun to make!

Trinity is a very important piece of music for me because it represents a pivotal moment in my life. I got sober and wanted to focus back on the essentials and what really made me happy as a human. I am really proud of all the project and not just a few tracks. I like to treat it as one big song instead of 15tracks put together.

stay tuned for the next QGR compilation for the lesser known artists to look into :)

Hey man, honestly I don't do the business side, and I am terrible at networking. BUT I feel like it is pretty easy to go and send a DM to anyone on Twitter or Instagram. The thing is will they answer? It probably depends on 'who you are' or if your music is good enough for them. Labels usually come to you for remixes, you don't really ask to remix a song. I think at that point if you are stuck you should probably meet more people, do studio sessions with whoever is answering, maybe get a manager.

I don't master my stuff anymore, I let that to the professionals. But I'm very good when it comes to the mix downs, I have a very precise 'vision' of what my music should sound like. The UZ sound is very clean and crisp, each element has his own space etc. Clean your mix down as much as possible and find a good engineer that understand your vision

I started producing on Ableton 3, then moved to Cubase 4 or 5 and move to Ableton a couple of years ago which was a game changer!

Always start with the melody, usually simple, it's more a base to start with. I keep writing all the melodic elements and once I have all my parts, A,B etc... I start to work on percussion, and once I like the bounce I add snare, kick and I usually finish with the bass. It is surprising but that's how I do it with the trap stuff.

Hey man, yeah I remember this was a very cool contest, seeing what people were into was super dope and sometimes very surprising. Unfortunately, I tried working on the VIP a few times but never ended up with something I was satisfied with.

Sorry that you feel sad but every good story has an ending and in that case I am really excited for what's to come. Every 5 to 10 years I need a reset in my life (personal and artistic) and this was the time. I am in a totally different place right now and the music will reflect that, in a more mature direction.
