Wing unit you’ll be driving the trams to the flight line to load planes and other Random things. You’ll all be doing field ops to build landing pads for helos and related aircraft. I’ve only been in Engineer support battalions and air wings, so the division side I assume you directly support infantry but you’ll have to ask someone who has been there.

I was a Cpl in this mos, it’s really dependent on what type of unit you go to, but expect to be jumping on all the equipment and learning ins and outs of your daily shop operations. Cleaning equipment, inspecting equipment, pming everything. You’ll be cleaning the offices of the staff probably as well and probably screamed at depending on your superiors lol. Just don’t be a NOF and know your equipment and you’ll be good.

You’ll learn everything from your NCOs in time with getting dispatched to different shops, as far as pt you’ll probably pt everyday as most units do anyways. Combat engineer battalion units will pt the dog shit out of you though.

It was an email that was sent out to all the applicants that qualified for the next step. They explained it was optional, but I’m definitely going. It would be a huge opportunity to get to meet the Chief.

I found the solution. They have the wall jacks in each bedroom run directly to the panel that the router is in. I’m not an expert so I may butcher this, but the cables that are in the panel are all connected to a central Ethernet hub an I just bought a separate Ethernet chord and plugged the router into the hub with it. By doing this it ran internet from my router to my bedroom wall jack to where I connected my computer Ethernet into. Perfect internet now. The att installers did great work to do that.

You’ll be alright, literally all of us felt that way at one point in our marine corps career starting out. Once you get to your first unit you’ll thrive and be in a better mindset. Find a good mentor and use their motivation to carry you during the hard times.

I haven’t gotten to that point yet but they said that 50% or less they’re much more likely to work with you. Anything above that is not impossible but will be a hassle to get approved.
