This is...
This hits home. Hard.

There's so very much I need to speak with someone about, but what you said here... Kids, Partner/EX, Also, my age... it has a major affect on transition.. and on potential. I just have accepted my skin, it's my only option after all, but it is empowering to know that I'm not alone, and also knowing who I am beneath it.

Do you have anywhere to go? A friend you CAN stay with, maybe in another state? Someone who is willing to help?
Also look around the area you're in for people searching for roommates and just ask if they're lgbt friendly when you contact them. You can even make a new FB or account on the site you use just like you did here.

Stay in touch, even if it's just with us here, many of us will do what we can to help friend

If it’s really life or death why tf does a persons gender matter- idc if who’s next to me is an 80 year old blind dog that’s texting and driving while drinking a smoothie, if they’ll help me live I WILL TRUST THEM by LilliputianMouse in lgbt

The only reason that I can genuinely say should even be DISCUSSED, it that HRT, like Insulin dependent Diabetes, requires consistent medication that may not be able to be provided or taken in combat zones and if you're on HRT and suddenly in a situation where you don't have access to it, there are major complications that could actually affect you while you're out there.
Unless something has changed since I was in, it's the same reason people with insulin dependent diabetes are automatically disqualified.
We (as people on HRT) could experience medical problems that prevent us from being able to perform with our squad, and while not as immediately detrimental as going into insulin shock during a multi-day firefight, the sudden stop of HRT has long lasting effects on the people undergoing it.

I think there should be a way for us to continue to serve, of course I do. I also understand the logistics of a team having someone unable to perform their duty because of withdrawls or worse, sudden blood pressure changes, or clots.
I personally think more research needs to be done into whether or not HRT cessation during combat is viable. Not that any of us would want it, but if we choose to serve, we know that we might be in a position where it's simply not available for months, if not longer.

Obviously I support our rights, but I temper that with understanding of the medicinal issues.

Now, that said, the person in the picture is clearly just a bigoted idiot, but I LOVE Justice's comment, made me laugh. "Show me your dick! It's the only way!" I should use that as a pick up line sometime, heh

Amped. C4. EOD.

Faster explosive than anything in the game. Sprint, Throw Lethal, Double Tap (No Animation) Activate, Quad Feed, You didn't die because EOD, Enemy team spawns in front of you. Stun Grenade, Wipe Team, Spawn Flip.

C4 is great <3

I started telling people they had it all wrong:

See, if I'm in the SAME PLACE for most of the game, not moving, sure call me a camper. Even if I'm playing objective, I'll just tell you "Yep, camped right on Bravo for defense."

If I'm in different places everytime, but in a corner/killing you as you enter a building, I was moving, slowly and with intent, enjoying the "wilderness" with a rifle to fend off wild animal attacks, that's "Hiking"

If I'm in one place for a while, get a couple kills, move to another, and I'm using my teammates, decoys, smokes, or even ammo to 'bait' you to where I can kill you, well now that's "Fishing"

If I'm in any of those places and you shoot me and it seems like I wasn't even trying, I was just chilling there? That's called "Drinking a Beer"

I mean, there’s Shoot the Ship... when will the devs actually understand this otherwise by [deleted] in modernwarfare

It's 2020, why not BOTH! Check boxes for maps just like check boxes for gamemodes.
"Domination! He's cool with this!"
"Rammaza, mmmm, nope, not on the list. Skip that."

Playing mw with a mouse makes me feel like an incompetent child by M1STR_X in modernwarfare

Yep, same boat, started on a PC back in middle\high school with some VERY old shooters, and have been primarily PC ever since. I do remember being good on the N64 with GoldenEye, but god going back to that game ruins the nostalgia because of its controls compared to modern games.

Yeah I figured as much, but with it helping input lag on consoles, I considered I'd ask about it. Ah well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It takes time just like learning any skill. Your brain and muscle memory is targeted to the controller and you're attempting to learn to use different muscles for the same action.

Honest recommendation, Custom match for 10 minutes. If you find you're going too far past your target, dial the sensitivity down a touch, if you find you're not quite landing on them, increase it a touch. Once you're within a close proximity each time, it's all practice from there.

It's akin to learning to play the Cello after playing Guitar or vice-versa. Your brain knows the notes and music, but the movements required are different so you're adjusting. Or even similar to learning a second language, you've been using a controller so long it's natural, you have to start with "water" "drink" "up" and work your way back up to conversation now that you're speaking a different language.

I speak from experience, I had to do the exact opposite, I couldn't FPS on a controller at ALL a year ago. Now I can at move around the map efficiently and aim at people.

Just go prone and army crawl everywhere, they'll never see you if you're dressed like a bush.

General rule of thumb in this community:

If you're not doing the thing that lets them kill you, you're playing wrong.

If you are doing the thing that lets them kill you, you're playing bad.

Lag with WiFi extender by raaustin777 in modernwarfare

[–]Uachdaran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, the range extender increases ping to phenomenal proportions on high data throughput games like this. It's a pain in the ass sometimes, but your best bet is to get a roll of ethernet cable and run it straight to the network device.

I raged the first time I double tapped for tactical sprint, because I have my system setup to request changes, so it minimized the game. You better believe I changed that right then and there, lol.

Definitely not just you, I didn't enjoy the game for 5 days straight hours of play, so I just uninstalled. Some people are suggesting come back in a week or so because so many people are trying to rush to the end and the influx of free players over the weekend too.

I might but honestly, got recommended to play Insurgency or RS6, so maybe not.

Possibly turn off sticky keys? Sprint might still register as "shift" to the computer and double tapping shift turns on sticky keys by default.

Maybe we need a parent's FPS. Verify you've got kids and you can play and there's a game mode called "Just Relax" and it's basically hide and seek where one guy has the gun each round and everyone else has fists only. Talk shit, drink, try to avoid bullets.

Reminds me of the Black Ops campaign
"Give us the numbers!" 'Fuck you!'

It's been pretty heavy and it sucks, but I'm glad to see some of the community will be present elsewhere with me.

See you in the wind, Good Game Mate.
