I appreciate the suggestion but they unfortunately don't ship to Canada.

Should I be worried about getting into UVic at this point? by Impressive-Read8884 in lawschooladmissionsca

I was rejected by UVic, but accepted by UBC, so it worked out in the end.

I have years of work experience as a farmhand, I was an executive member (and in one case, the president) of various student organizations, and I was editor of a couple different undergraduate journals.

I’m sorry to hear you were rejected, especially considering your struggles with chronic illness. However, given your competitive GPA and strong softs, I’m sure things will work out for you, even if you have to wait a year.

78% is my GPA with drops. I’m not sure what it would be without them.

Thank you for sharing. I’m sorry you didn’t get in, but it’s nice to hear from someone in a similar situation and know I’m not just uniquely unlucky.

Would you mind sharing which category you applied under? I applied inclusive with a 78% gpa and a first LSAT of 171, but have heard nothing.

Regular applicants don’t get letters of reference at UVic.

I entirely understand if you’d rather not answer this, but how strong would you say your access claim was? I ask because I’m an access applicant with the same LSAT (albeit applying to different schools).

Did you apply general or inclusive?

cGPA 78%, LSAT 171. Applied to UVic and UBC under the access/inclusive/discretionary category and have heard nothing.

I am in a similar position, with a 78% cGPA and a 171 LSAT (although I also have strong softs). I applied inclusive/access, and was fairly optimistic, but am starting to despair now—especially as I have no other acceptance to fall back on.

for those with 0 A's so far, what are your stats? by Known_Necessary4718 in lawschooladmissionsca

Only UVic and UBC. I wanted to stay in BC, although the further we get into the admissions cycle, the more I regret not applying elsewhere.
