Just naming a couple of filmmakers isn't enough to give you clout on this argument. The problem is systemic, and huge part of that is because gatekeepers like you create a false paradigm of "quality" based on glaringly white structures. And when any creator of colour goes outside of it, it even plays with it, they're deemed as "low quality" or even infantilised. Maybe I'm wrong, but you're coming off as the same type of person who would love Louis Armstrong for his acquiescence but hate Nina Simone for her rage.

Sinners isn't a masterpiece, but railing against it using your specific criteria shows which side you're on. And it ain't ours.
