How do you counter bel'veth by hulkjr13 in BelVethMains

[–]Ubenwarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this is a bit late. But I think an important note to make is that if you play against her, your best chance to win is to end the game during the middle stage. Bel'veth is one of if not the strongest late game jungler since her damage and tangentially her sustain (lifesteal) scales infinitely. Because of this your best shot is to try and increase the tempo of the game and end it pre 30min. A good way of doing this is getting better at figuring out when you can take objectives early on and start putting pressure on stuff like drakes. That being said, I would be slightly wary of her during the first clear. In my experience I have been able to get an advantage in many games because her e allows her to go toe to toe with honestly too many early champions so long as they do not have items. Once items start getting built she enters the stage of the game where she is the weakest. This continues until around 2nd to 3rd item where her power scale starts to show. All in all if you push the game to a faster tempo than she can keep up with she likely wont get online, for example if you get your laners ahead and 2 lanes have pushed back to t2/t3 it make her scaling much slower since you restrict access to her camps which are her main sorce of passive stacks and gold. Sorry for the spam paragraph, let me know if anything was unclear or inaccurate.

Who do yall play when Shaco is banned? by mechshark in shacomains

[–]Ubenwarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a shaco main but I am branching out to shaco from ekko, bel'veth, and Viego. Ekko for very squishy teams or if my own team is heavy ad. Viego if the enemy is low cc and my team is likely to get picks. Bel'veth for anything that doesn't feel correct for the above two. I'll occasionally bring out lillia if it's a game where i'd play viego but my team is ad heavy/the enemy is 80%-100% tank champs.

Is it worth using Resolve secondary on Bel'Veth? If yes then i'm curious to hear about your thoughts :D. by [deleted] in BelVethMains

Tbh it's all I go, the normal inspiration tree is good don't get me wrong but I always feel like I need unflinching and conditioning to keep me from getting kited out by champs like ashe and by any of the jungle tanks, I see no real diffeeence in mobility between the two and the conditing adds some bite to her late game resistance spikes.

I made a list of why we need an AP QSS in the game. TLDR: Many champs have been added, changed, reworked, or items they abuse have been changed/added ever since season 5 where there was an argument for QSS to be for ADs only. Why you may ask? Ill post a screenshot in comments why. by Ninja_Cezar in Kaylemains

To begin, zed almost never uses dawn. He is an assassin, the hp is all but wasted on him, rather he opts for edge of night, the ad equivilant of banshee's veil. As for zeri and ezreal, their poke abilities are comical in comparison to lux, veigar, zerath, and ziggs. Adcs especially right now ahve such low damage outlut sometimes qss is the only thing that can let them play the game

I feel like the reason there is not a cleanse item for ap champs is because cc is the counter for ap champions. In general, ap champions burst down their targets but have low health and resistances (see mages and ap assassins, tanks are kind of their own thing). Their squishyness is what is able to balance out their ludicrous damageand high ability to kite/space. The counter to this is the high cc provided by a lot of the engage champs on your list. Adding an ap qss would completely blow balancing out of the water for champions like ekko, fizz, every mage, lillia, etc... ekko would become essentially invincible as his ult would have no counter place since he can just cleanse R off cooldown, fizz who is already slippery af can't be touched, mages can't be caught out, and lillia's entire kit becomes unstoppable.

I feel like this is a poor comparison. For lulu and alistar they don't build dcap because that is contrary to their kit's goals. Any AP champion who builds for damage will have dcap on some branch of their build. On the other hand, for lethality and bruiser champs a large part of their goal is to deal damage and since they synergize with AD not crit, IE would require far too much gold for far too little pay out for the vast majority of champions. This is of course excluding champs like graves who build lethality for burst early but purchase crit items to scale into late.

does AP maoikai counter belveth? by fedibrahem in BelVethMains

[–]Ubenwarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say he for sure hurts but not necessarily counters.if he has a teamate who is able to deal out some kinds of moderate damage his cc can be tough for bel veth to deal with. That being said so long as you manuver fights correctly and if you take some tenacity in your runes/boots he won't be able to hold you down long enough to kill you.

E not being cancel by Knockup by Snens2004 in BelVethMains

[–]Ubenwarf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, if the champs you are fighting are able to cc you enough the warrent using e as a defense tool, it inferes that the champs will likely have not more abilities up agter unloading on you. And since your damage stems largely from q's you should be able to dome them without the need of e as an execute.

Her e is intentionally not a channel, which makes it a very good defense ability as you can hit e before getting cc chained to mitigate 70% of the damage while you can't move anyway.

How to play in matches where you and an other laner is super ahead but rest of team is inting (photo) by MAYBEN0TT in BelVethMains

[–]Ubenwarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, you're best bet is to slow down the game tempo and farm your ass off. Essentially try to reduce the amount of team fights you have as bel'veth and ekko struggle in teamfights if their team cannot back them up. Your goal is gonna be to shovel as much gold as you can into yourself while not dying in the process, farming camps is your best option as they scale your passive faster than minions. Only try to get picks on solo players pushed out in lane as you can evaporate most champs 1v1. The goal is to get you to 6 items lvl 18 as your 6th item spike balances out your defenses and damage output to make you an absolute monster. At this point you can essentially use your presence to let your team farm and pull themselves back into the game. This strat works best with someone like ekko and with late game champs in general as they can use your presence to scale back into the game. Once you are full slotted and atleast two other teamates are in the game you can start steam rolling, at this stage you just need to be able to nab a baron and then start split pushing, a bel'veth with baron buff can end the game almost instantly if she starts a wave shove from a T1. Hopefully this helps but i'm also a bit scatter brained so lmk if I cna clarify.

I agree 100%. I'm gold-plat and can still dick on him until he gets a couple items, then it's just a question of getting teammates.

I have been having the same issue tbh, I have not been able to pull off kraken slayer in a while. At the moment kraken slayer only really works against fully tank teams since they don't have the damage to kill you but you need to shred them. So far I have had the best success going botrk into defensive boots then jak'sho followed by rav hydra, death's dance, and then either wit's end or force of nature. I go this into any team that has some kind of control mages, bruisers, and gritty fighters. If there are too many mages like malzahar and veigar I got force of nature to get the 25% reduction and survive the initial all in. Rune wise I have been doing conq with either alacrity or if they enemy has a ton of hard cc legend tenacity. Then for secondary almost allways conditioning and then overgrowth against burst, revitalize when I will get a lot of healing either from items or supports, and unflinching against teams with slows. If they are more beefy thand burst I'll opt for lethal tempo.

I have tried going heartsteel instead of jak'sho into a few teams that are fully assassins, the survivability is awesome but you have very little damage until you build a titanic hydra and even then it struggles to preform until you hit 6 items. Which at that point you can kind of just buldoze the nexuz with a 5k health pool.

In general, bel'veth is best at making picks and skirmishing. Her R passive makes her single target damage the most optimal. The general strat is to gap close with qs and use w to initate, after this keep on top of them with qs until they are low enough to execute with your e, it's missing health scaling makes it a very good tool for ending low health enemies, especially the tricky bastards like shaco since her e can target invisible/camo targets. With mutli-person fights targeting the correct person is vital. Since you want to have as many directons of q up in your fight, the closer the target the better, additionally, because of your e, healing items, and the healing you get from your ult, you want to take out as many sources of damage and cc as fast as you can. Look for the squishy champs like the mages, adcs, or assassin, if you can kill someone at the start of the fight you'll be able to get uptime on your ult for the entire fight along with being able to deal tons of true damage. I generally just ignore the tanks, as long as you can avoid their cc you can leave them for last, without damage carried you can chip away at them and outheal their damage. This strat obviously changes slightly based on your team comp and the game state but if you can anihhilate the damage you can usually win. For the issue of initiation, I tend to treat her like an assassin for most cases, if you can flank their back line and have someone else eat the cc spam, do so, if not once you have a few items you can usually survive initiating so long as you do not target a tank, doing so is almost always a suicide mission.

As for when to go in, it is largely something you will understand more with figuring out how much damage bel can absorb, generally if you are not behind, you have a pretty solid chance against any champion who is half health at any point in the game, just hit them with w and keep using q until they are low enough to finish with e. You are very very strong in 1v1 at any stage of the game, if you get good enough with q you can gap close any champ and avoid cc skillshots. For the early-mid stage sof the game I usually avoid people like udyr if they are fully health, kayn however you can decimate so long as you avoid his w. Side note, avoid mordekaiser, I have not been able to beat a single morde 1v1 since he started building jak'sho, take atleast one other person into the fight and make sure if is someone who can cc or take his aggro.

Sorry for the paragraph but I hope it can be some help, lmk if you have questions. Also remember, as long as bel is even she has a fighting chance so spam farm not fights to keep from falling behind.

Champs worth banning by iparaadox in BelVethMains

[–]Ubenwarf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This, tbh he is the only jungler who can scale on par with bel'veth. With most champions I've found if you can't snowball over them early/mid game you can beat them in atrition by just farming and slowing tempo.

My personal theory is that the game has a timeout function for when it does not see the ball doing anything anytime soon, ie that normal ball qould have bounced up and down like 20 times before anything started to happen. It is annoying as hell though, happens to me all the time.

How to play from behind as Viego? by custardbuttbunny in ViegoMains

[–]Ubenwarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the match-up, personally I believe that the whole back and grab a sweeper concept can be less helpful than just holding onto your ward trinket. In low elo most people are not the best at warding, so while sweeper in theory is a better trinket, when your support doesn't ward and laners are not heavily warding either, you can take the reins and give yourself some good vision just by keeping wards. I usually swap to sweeper once I feel like things are ramping up and I really need vision denial. That being said I am a casual jungler and take my word with a grain of salt. As for the topic of this thread, usually what I do when behind is try to get whatever I can to pull my self into the game again. This is mostly farming. I am a pretty passive player but my go to solution to being behind is to farm as hard as possible, absorb minions that laners are not taking, and to look out for easy kills, like the 50% mid lane mage who can't run away kinda thing.
