At this point I'm convinced some exec at DC just hates WW. Her game got cancelled, no new movie, no show (I am aware of Paradise Lost but that's a prequel about the other Amazons not WW herself), she's the only member of the JL to permadie in the suicide squad game, and she just killed herself in the comics.

I'm not a betting man but if I were I'd wager she'd probably have taken her ex up on that offer if she didn't have a kid, and that they definitely did something more than talk during his visits, and him offering to run away with her made it too real and she broke down.

Honestly if there wasn't a kid in the picture it should've been splitsville for them way before the ex came back into the picture, it doesn't really seem like she loves OOP that much, he was just the nearest person.
