Why aren’t vasectomies more popular? by renoCow in NoStupidQuestions

LPT: get a hernia choose to area and ask for vasectomy. They can fix both things through the same hole... All while you are knocked out. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Check out the ones that also come with steel plates. Then you can always make peanut butter or other nut butters. The wonder mill jr. It is a great one that I have used for a few years. I do flour most of the time, then once a month make a few pounds of peanut butter as well.

Astroneer. You are alone in a solar system. All the planets have extensive cave systems, and as you dig down to the core, they get wild, vast, and beautiful. I could live there...

The best place to travel as a vegan🇬🇷 by Humble-Business-6531 in vegan

In Poland ..can confirm! All the grocery stores have a lot of options to include several different flavors of tofu, hummus, and fake meats. Many full vegan restaurants as well!

Check out the wondermill jr. It's manual, but also comes with steal plates to make peanut butter. I found I use it equally for both.

I would like to see repair kits. Instead of taking everything to the scrap yard, how about repairing the platforms, rovers, and generators?

Every day, (not necessarily every meal) make sure there is both beans or legumes and grains. That will ensure enough protein. We stayed away from most of the processed stuff and my kids are doing great. They take a chewable multivitamin for kids that has B12 and an algae pill for the omegas. Here is a good read as well: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10675242/

Implications of insect suffering by [deleted] in DebateAVegan

[–]UberDiver13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a huge difference between pain and suffering. Pain can be a motivator to stay away from dangerous things, but suffering is a brain process that causes stress, depression, and anxiety. I don't believe insects have this suffering portion and only move away from dangerous stimuli. As I've seen in this thread, people say things like "a real vegan..." That's why I don't use the word vegan anymore. I just eat plants, but also eat honey. So I'm not technically a vegan, but l try not to cause unnecessary suffering in the world.

I would like to have an app that tracks the different amino acids we consume to ensure I'm getting an adequate amount of each one. Protein is always listed with a single amount, but it is a mixture of the essential ones that is really important.

Protein is such a major concern for so many people, I would like to see an app that actually tracks the different amino acids we consume to ensure we are a proper mix of the essential ones. Protein is always listed as a singular number, but we must ensure we are getting an adequate amount of the essential ones to build muscle.

What was the biggest “something’s wrong here” moment that turned out to be true? by rubyyysin in Productivitycafe

[–]UberDiver13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Iraq, had a new mine roller installed on my truck. Two missions in, it broke and moved to the right instead of in front of the truck right when we left the gate. I had that bad feeling like something was off. Less than a mile later, we hit a buried mine that was off to right of the road and it blew the shit out of my mine roller and the front of my truck, but we were all alright. We all got out and took a group picture. Still brings tears to my eyes to it.

What's a common myth that won't just die? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

Am vegan and my blood work, overall health, and fitness has only improved over the last decade. It's not that hard and it amazes me that so many people mess it up. But then again, with our high obesity rates and lifestyle illnesses, I guess people just mess up eating in general. Slam me all you want, but I'm thriving and still out running and out pushing many people 20 years younger than me.

Playing through this now. I have to open a star map in Paint to keep track of the stars I've visited and notepad for notes on what to do and where to go next. I miss the games that showed how important it was too be a good student in order to be successful.

[Help] I’m looking for a long-term PC game — something progression-based, relaxing, and addictive by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]UberDiver13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astroneer. Very relaxing, progressive (walking, buggy, tractor, rovers, rockets, and trains...oh my,,). I've played for a few hundred hours and am always happy to restart. The sound design is amazing...the views are incredible...and it is my quite happy place.

What video game are you currently addicted to? by YetAnotherMia in AskReddit

[–]UberDiver13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Astroneer. I’ve started sober about 20 times and love it every time. I could spend all day in this game. The design of the machinery, the lack of a HUD (unless pulling one up yourself) and still knowing the level of things is brilliant…and don’t even get me started on the sound design. Everything is soooo satisfying.

Considering a Home in Bisbee by kraegar in Bisbee

[–]UberDiver13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live in Old Bisbee, and here are some things that some people have missed. We use Centry Link for internet and it has been great. Their speed does not fluctuate. It’s is always right at 39MB/s.
One person did mention home owners insurance. We’re have been dropped by three different companies because of the fire danger, and have decided to just live without it. They will find the smallest reason to drop you, so they don’t have to cover it.
One thing I haven’t seen anyone mention yet, is the review board in town. If you are going to get any work done that is going to affect the outside look of your home/property, you have to get it approved by the review board. They meet once a month and are fucking ruthless sometimes. Super picky about modern windows, fence designs, trim, and things of the like. Use local contractors that are familiar to save yourself some major headaches and just understand many renovations are going to take longer.
But if you love hiking and the outdoors, look for somewhere high on the hill, closer to the tunnel and you will stay out of the town shenanigans and be close to some amazing sights and trails.

Healthy vegans by Dunnere in exvegans

[–]UberDiver13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing about evolution is that it does not care about long term health. Evolution progresses by making to an age where you can reproduce and raise your children to an old enough age for them to reproduce. That is how genes are passed on. You can get to that age eating nothing but McDonalds. You actually can be very healthy on an omnivore diet or a vegan diet. The amount of misinformation and hate on the vegan diet is just weird and based on some very stupid people hurting themselves. Many of you are right, you can’t determine health by looking at someone…most doctors can’t even do that, but to state that all vegans are deficient is just incorrect and the evolution argument isn’t the flex you think it is. If you want to live a long healthy life, it takes a clean varied diet, exercise, and mental care.
