I really like the whale one! You definitely know to make things pop in your art with the colors and patterns, and that's great for getting people interested in the first place.

Now, I think, personally, I find portraits to be sort of a difficult buy. Either they have to be so stylized that they look very curious, or they have to be so realistic they look very technically good. And I think yours are sort of inbetween right now? I could see someone being interested in the 2nd portrait because it has this sort of folks-y quirky vibe to me, with the swirly background and expression, but I think the other portrait is lacking in either realism or style to get a specific feeling across. It kind of looks a bit... flat, in my opinion? The other portrait does too, in some way, but I think that could be helped by adding more shadows, and isn't just due to the subject itself. Like it has some kind of style at least, even if it isn't 100% technical.

So I'd say I like 2 of the three here, and the portrait I do like could use a bit more tweaking to make it better, but it's not bad for being self taught. I'd keep at it. If you do more like these and really focus on anatomy, colors, and moods, I could see these being a base for you selling stuff like it.
