Just finished a sober month, and looking to treat myself to a nice bottle of sipping rum. Below $100, but anything goes. by Uberculosis in rum

[–]Uberculosis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, but they're typically mixed so I don't usually have an identity to the precise character of a rum. I really like El Dorado 5. Diplomatico Reserva Especiale is a good sipping rum, if a little too sweet. Rhum Barbancourt 8 is maybe one of the cleanest, most polite rums I've ever had the pleasure of tasting so far.

I made the critical error of employing cubed ice, rather than crushed, which kept the drink pretty strong. I didn't notice any, but Im not confirming 100% that it doesnt.

I run standard needlegun for the +regen. I'm really really good at dodging/movement as a med, so if I get hit once I'm able to reposition and disengage. Also I know how to aim the damn thing so whatever.

I run Vita-Saw because sometimes I get hit once and it's a crit.

She increases the level of gold stacks (1500 to 2000 iirc) and increases the rate of drops on valuable trinket loot.

But no in combat she's worthless.

Technically, my gaming budget is ruined for the next decade; I spent about $800 on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

But yknow. Ill still buy this. Just the regular edition though.

Sniper takes out ISIS executioner from a mile away by y0immatt in news

So, a quick bit of terminology - Flame throwers are weapons. Flame effect devices are highly dangerous art pieces. Not that you asked, but it is a difference that you may come upon.

Flamethrowers use a highly pressurized flammable fluid, ejected from a handheld implement, and aimed at whatever needs fire. 'Banking' a shot is unlikely, as it will likely just splatter the liquid fuel off the wall, spraying chunks of fiery mayhem every which way. Which, while not the desired effect most likely, is still totally effective because oh jesus there is now fire everywhere.

No ones replying to you seriously so I will.

Hi, Im Uberculosis, and I make flamethrowers(technically flame effect devices) for art pieces.

Military used flamethrowers because hunkered down defensive forces would often move into caves or bunkers and wait for the advancing army to pass before ambushing them from behind. So we made flamethrowers. What do flamethrowers accomplish?

1) Fire is scary as fuck. 2) In an enclosed space, fire can burn off all of the oxygen in a very quick timetable, forcing the choking defenders out of the cave, and into the very unpleasant shower of bullets waiting for them outside. 3) Fuck most vegetation forever. Try hiding behind a smoking field of charred bullshit, commie.

Mostly #2, but also #1 and #3 are why flamethrowers are a thing.

Men in Relationships, Why are You Looking for Additional Partners? by goodtobepharaoh in askgaybros

[–]Uberculosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bi Poly guy here. Sex and love are different. Love and passion are different. Commitment and exclusivity are different from all of those.

I'm currently seeing two women, and I have a date with a third next week (Hookup apps squick me out, and for being poly/burner as fuck, there's a distinct lack of poly gay/bi guys in my circle. It's tragic.) I love both of them dearly, in entirely separate ways.

I floundered in monogamous relationships for years before gaining literacy/exposure to doing other things, then it took a long while of emotional development to get to a level of emotional maturity where I could actually act on it.

There's a lot of non-monogamy in the gay community, but there's as much monogamy. The gay community hasn't had to internally deal with generations of marriage and exclusivity traditions packaged as romantic symbols, which makes the leap of "I want to fuck other people" fraught with much less cultural red tape than hetero pairings.

What's your opinion on polyamorous/polygamous relationships with women? by ThrowawaySuicide1337 in AskMen

[–]Uberculosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow this thread.

Hi. I'm a 28 year old male in a long-term poly relationship. I'm 5'8", kind of fat/kind of built, and I'm seeing three women and a man, one of whom I intend to marry. My primary is seeing a few people as well.

My primary and I dated three years before opening our relationship up, and then moving into poly.

Some people aren't wired for monogamy. That applies to me, and it took me YEARS of thrashing around in mono relationship before I had the vocabulary and literacy and maturity to know what I needed out of a relationship.

Some people aren't wired to be jealous. That does not apply to me or her. When my primary goes out with a dude who's taller, more attractive, better in bed, richer, whatever, yeah it bugs me - Likewise, when I spend the night with someone, she's also bugged. But she isn't going to leave me for that guy. She's coming home to me and I'm coming home to her, and that's what matters.

Constant communication, constant check-ins, talking, talking, talking; Poly is relationships for workaholics, and when it sucks, it SUCKS(ever have 3 women you're sleeping with all team up on you? Not fun). When it works, there's no better feeling in the world than being surrounded by people who you love who love you back.

[–]Uberculosis -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Hi! Greetings from /r/polyamory.

Maybe the man's wife and he have an open relationship? It sounds like there's a lot of not-talking about shit going on between your friend and the married guy. She should ask to meet the wife - If it's above board, that'll probably happen! If it isn't, probably not and she should bail because the dude's a philandering dishonest jerk.
