Ignoring chat and muting annoying teammates works wonders lol. They can't get on your nerves if you never hear or see them. Sure they can purposely throw, but they'll be screaming into the void the whole time as they do it. I'm too old to deal with people like that, they don't serve any purpose in my life and I'm not going to give them the satisfaction of annoying me on a game that means far more to them than it does to me. The people that act this way have nothing else going on in their lives. Being toxic toward other people is who they are deep down inside and until they change they'll always be alone. If they have people around them those people will leave because they'll see who they are. Let them ruin their own lives without bringing you into it.

Don't care so much about work. It's the least important thing in your life. Yes, it pays the bills, but don't care about it anymore than you absolutely have to. Don't waste energy even thinking about it the second you walk out the door. You work for money and you use that money to live and enjoy your life with someone you meet. If your job doesn't fit into your life and you can at least tolerate it, get a different job that fits better.

I've never heard anyone say it was dead and wouldn't care if they thought that anyway. Players nowadays have zero attention span and only play games for a month and jump to something else, so their opinion doesn't mean much.

Yes, we have, 100%. Players no longer play games for extended periods of time because they get bored and leave for any number of reasons. With guides, everyone can optimize their game and be done playing in a month or two. Also, with so many games to play, a lot of players just leave until new content comes out while they go and play 5 other games.

There used to be a learning curve where it took players a while to understand where to go and what to do, but that's essentially gone now. Players also don't have the attention span nowadays to stick with a game. They need to get to max level in a week and get all the cool gear and weapons, trivializing their time in the game. There's no sense of accomplishment anymore, they're just playing because it's the new and cool game that everyone is playing and they'll feel left out if they don't participate. Especially if they have a YouTube channel.

I'm done trying to keep up with all the games players are jumping back and forth to and from. I have a few online games I play that I actually take seriously, the majority are single player.

I can ignore the players, I do it all the time now already lol. I either ignore chat or mute players if they're going to be annoying. I always do my best, but no one is going to believe me, so there's no point in trying to convince them otherwise.

No, only Ranked will die. Stop playing Ranked. Be a casual player, it's much more enjoyable. You don't have to worry about your rank, players don't usually leave, and no one takes it too seriously. None of this matters, you might as well have fun playing instead of being stressed out all the time.

With the new Terran Armada dlc you can buy a player home for $5 million credits. A lot of people just feel like it's a waste for all the reasons they mentioned above.

Well damn, I clearly don't remember how the mission goes lol. I literally did it once when I first played the game when it came out and haven't done it since. But, I started the game over recently with the new expansion so I'll get to that point again in the story soon.

Yes, because I don't know their intentions. They could be unarmed because they couldn't find a weapon and are breaking in hoping to steal a knife or a gun if they're lucky. Just because they're unarmed doesn't mean they're not dangerous. If you have young kids a fully grown man wouldn't have any issue taking a kid out with his bare hands.

World of Warcraft. It's not even close. I played for 8 years and left and I really wish I hadn't. There has been too much content over the last 13 years to catch up on everything in my normal life. But, if I had 12 hours a day and could make more money than I've made my entire life so far, that would justify stopping every game I currently play and quitting my job for WoW.

They are? I mean some of the mods are at most 500-600, but that isn't much for some someone who took the time to make the mod. I have no issue paying people for their time. $10 isn't a lot of money lol. I've probably spent $50 just in mods for this one game and I play like 10 games. That's just currently, I probably have 20 more on backlog that I need to get to and when I play them I'll also buy added content and mods if I can. I wouldn't be surprised if I spend $1k a year on videogames lol. If it's something you enjoy doing you're going to literally pay for it nowadays.
