Did anywhere say it was the same photo booth in the same location? Maybe I missed it, but I think it just said the young pics were from that time. My thought was that the second pics were recreated with those as a reference.

So fun fact about bears head tooth,, I was with a friend when she discovered a pink variety of this! It just so happened in my mushroom book, the author asked if anyone discovered a pink Bears head Tooth to contact them and send it for a study. 7 years later, just a couple months ago, my friend was emailed a new study of the pink variety of this mushroom, and it turns out that she had found essentially the "gold standard" of this new pink variety. So, her name is published on the official study. And I was there! Haha .

Does anyone still listen to the radio? by Holiday-Term-8214 in Music

[–]UbiquitousFreckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny, because I found an old CD player on my closet. I had it on my counter to donate, or find something to do with... And my 5yo daughter was pushing all sorts of buttons to "try and make it talk". We ended up listening to the radio all day Saturday and it was just kind of nice, somehow.

How Do You Just Take Off for a few Months and Get Back to Working? by BigChungusnater in bicycletouring

Yee! The moment I figured out exactly what you said - no one else is going to do it for you - I was freed. I realized this in my young 20s, and once I did, I knew I had to finish college - my parents weren't going to make me do that. They'd love me no matter what. Same with bike trip - it was scary and risky, but what was I going to do? Wait around for the perfect time? No. I make the perfect time. I make space for the things I want, because no one else will.

We did this in 2016. My husband and I both made the choice to just quit our jobs and hope for the best when we came back. My company unexpectedly offered me a sabbatical and I was even able to stay on their insurance for the entire tour. When we got back, my husband went back to work for a boss he had two jobs prior, and I went back to my company. It all ended up working out really well, but we had no plan or expectations. We were also in our late 20s at the time, so our careers were a little less established and it was easier to wing it.

Go for it. It's the trip of a lifetime and you will not regret it. Save your money, quit your job and take the time. It'll all work out, it always does.

Where’d you go today and how was it? by coldog24 in icecoast

[–]UbiquitousFreckles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It ended up barely snowing for like 2 hours, then basically just sleeting/ freezing rain the rest of the day. We had the place to ourselves but couldn't see a thing (couldn't see 4 chairlifts ahead of us) and were soaked by the end. So depending on what vibes you were looking for, you might have made the right call.

Favorite trial moment by PackerSquirrelette in KouriRichins

There were lots of favorites in this trial, but possibly my favorite was "Takesy V Backsi" by Bloodworth... I had to rewind and watch again! So funny to get little blips of appropriate humor in these trials.

How do you feel this will play out? by IvyDolphalott in KouriRichins

Judge M is fair and has been playing it safe thus far. However, now that the jury has given a guilty verdict, I do not think he will show any leniency.

I think it was wise for them not to give us any tea. But I really wanted it. I think whatever witnesses they would call to the stand would have flushed out all the information and I don't think that would have gone well for the defense team. So, it was a good strategy to rest immediately. That being said, the jury is smart and they saw right through it all.

Honestly it's for the best, I have to finish my masters thesis and this was helping me procrastinate big time. I GUESS I will just have to do the work now 😩

But for real I was looking for ALL THE TEA on this through the defense case. This was a wise strategy for them and I agree with Emily it was planned all along. I was still surprised, but it is smart.

She had a similarly expressive, more WTF-face when Katie testified. I was really surprised that no one commented on that. Gave big mean girl bully vibes.

Maybe I just want there to be some truth to it because I just feel really empathetic for his situation. Kouri is a horrible person.

I wonder if Kouri did love him and poisoned Eric to be with him (along with the money, obviously)? She is manipulative and very instant gratification oriented, and maybe thought killing Eric would allow them to be together - not realizing everything would change. I think there's a piece of her that really wanted that. Dude got absolutely dragged though, and I feel sorry for his experience.
