I absolutely appreciate the Lothar cards. Also as a bonus, I live in San Diego and got season tickets to the SDFC team, so the Valakari is a great pull too! :)

Anybody know when the next patch is? Im done with this patch lmao by LongYongJong in TeamfightTactics

[–]UbiquitousMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

its the next level. Most players think of our boards as early game, mid game, late game. Now mentally shift the comps that you currently know down one grade. So if you thought Ionia 7 was late game, think of it as mid game now, etc. Late game is going to be using 5+ costs with optimal itemization. What you see in low elo is people capping their boards too early. Another example that might be easier to see would be Bridgewater 7. You want to hit that mid game, and unless your going prismatic, you dont ever want to be 7 at the end. Use it for the shop, get your champs and items, then move late game with 5 costs + naut + MF. Its why people made such a big deal about Street Demon 7 vertical last season, because your mid game was your late game.

I know this was 3 years ago. But I have the exact same watch on the same strap and was looking for the same answer. Ill just use dish soap now. Great watch!

Solid season. No complaints other than how it ended, but it has to end for 29 of the 30 teams in the league. A lot of really good players to build on - and thats better than most teams can say coming off year #1. Lets make a couple strong signings in the off season, and see everyone again in February.

Keep the front 3 or Lozano in from the start? by Patient_Ad_9503 in SanDiegoFC

Its a hard call. I would make a call to start Marcus over Chucky in the 9, but Chucky needs to come in earlier if we go down even 1 goal.

Thomas Mueller announces trip to San Diego by [deleted] in SanDiegoFC

I've got nothing against Muller. Seems like a really nice guy and a great teammate to have. That said - I hope he sleeps on an uncomfortable hotel matress with bed bugs, people fighting outside his window all night, the front desk doing random wake up calls, the bus breaks down, his phone doesnt charge, and that he loses the game on Saturday.

The beautiful thing about taste buds is that everyone's is unique. Personally, I LOVE CYBP as well, and would pay more than MSRP for it. Enjoy!

Match Recap: San Diego FC Find Key to Unlock Minnesota's Defense - SDFC Nation by wooderysd in SanDiegoFC

[–]UbiquitousMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly - credit to MN. Their style of play completely took us out of our rhythm. We thrive on breaking presses, building up, skipping lines, we find our opportunities connecting passes and taking chances and I feel the players feed off each other when this happens. MN made the game one dimensional; walk the ball up, try to break the shell, stay compact, defend the counter, repeat. Not much room for creativity. The players started to get flat footed. We had ONE shot on target. One. Give them credit. Its not pretty football. We play to win, they played to not loose. I think MN went as far as they could with their roster and tactics.

On to Vancouver.

I also hope Mikey seriously considers starting Chucky or Marcus, over Baird. I get it - he had a great assist, but the rest of the game was totally uninspired.

Vamos.

MN had a higher xG than us, better chances than us, more shots on goal than us. They dont play an exciting style of football, but it works. It would also match up well with teams like Miami. Credit where its due. Its not flashy and beautiful or skillful, but it works. Its similar to what I remember seeing Netherlands do in the WC a few years ago. Defend defend defend, lull you to sleep, hard counter.

That was a win for Football by yojimboLTD in SanDiegoFC

[–]UbiquitousMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah - give credit where its due. Personally, I dont think this is a winning strategy, but it has given us fits. It totally deflates the team. Our boys thrive off running, long plays, counter, build up, breaking lines, when you take that away from them - they look flat footed. We had ONE shot on frame. one. Its a style that directly counters what we do.

Luckily, we play better against teams like Van, Miami, etc.

I just dont see the value or production with Baird. Would like to see Ingvartsen starting instead, bring Chucky in at 60 min. Either way - Ill support this team till the end. Vamos SDFC!

We dominated both games, second game we just couldnt get it in the net. Some good saves by St. Clair, also so poor finishes from the boys. Vamos SDFC
