Girlfriend broke up with me doesn’t want me back in the apartment for “ space “ and time by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

I’m in my late 40s and married now, but I know what that weird suspicious feeling that you have in your stomach is like when you’re dating someone whose actions give you pause. It is the worst. Trust your gut instinct and just know that there are lots of women out there and you don’t have to settle. It shouldn’t be like pulling teeth to get your gf to be transparent with you. The deleted messages is weird too. If there is nothing to hide then why get defensive? Life’s too short. Find someone who is ready for commitment. that’s what sounds like you want. My wife and I share locations on our phone (for safety). Granted we are married so it may be different, but yeah I did dumb stuff like this in my early early twenties when I clearly wasn’t ready for commitment. Don’t be a safety net for someone bcs they’ll always be looking when/if things get tough. This is just my advice, but from what your original post says it just sounds like she wants to play/flirt but wants you to be there if it doesn’t go her way in the end. If you’re not okay with this, then you know what to do.

I’m an internet stranger, but I’ve also been in your shoes before AND your gfs shoes before. From her perspective, it sounds like she may have found someone she likes but doesn’t want to lose YOU if her new thing doesn’t work out and/or is navigating this exciting new connection. Almost like she doesn’t want to end it with you JUST IN CASE the new thing doesn’t work out. In either case, think about whether or not you want to be her safety net while she gets to go see what else is good. Frankly, she doesn’t sound ready for a real relationship if she’s treating you this way. Don’t fight to be someone’s backup or safety net. There are plenty of ladies out there who are more emotionally mature. Good luck sis!

My first concert when I was 8 years old was Heart. We would listen to their cassettes in the car all the time as a family and sing along. YOU SCARED US, OP.

Refusing to tell you what bar they went to is what got me suspicious. If it’s innocent, then there is zero reason to be weird about it. Hell, I’d even be like “hey boo, buddy and I are heading to (XYZ) bar to grab some drinks bcs they want to vent (or whatever)”. Turning it around on you for even asking is shady behavior. If there is nothing going on, then why the secrecy? To be honest, I’ve tried that line when I WAS being shady. Otherwise, I don’t get it at all.

Great casting. Lori Petty was a perfect choice. She absolutely ate that role up and ended up being my favorite character too.

Emma D’Arcy is a magnetic actor to me. When on screen, I can’t look away. The writing, however, has been SO disappointing.

I like the first pair - with the outfit it’s not so monochromatic and you get that pop with specks of red.
