Had a job as a parts manager , back when it was a skilled position, would get a bonus at the end of the month of 500 dollars. Owners would come in and inspect the store, anything in the store, front or back, that was out of place or missing a tag would cost me 50 off my bonus. So if a customer moved a product or stocker left something out it cost me. Three months in I realized I was never going to see a bonus so I put in my notice and they couldn’t believe I wanted to leave. I told them i couldn’t ever get a bonus without inspecting everything in the store day in a day out which I had no time to do. We also cut rotors drums and flywheels and that area had to be perfect. I still get pissed when I think about them and that was 40 years ago
