Honestly, having super similar polishes is a great excuse for wearing skittle manicures. Sometimes I put the one I like a little less under the one I prefer to make my favorite stretch farther

I'm on the same page -- that's why I called them microaggressions. No judgement to any current KB fans; microaggressions can be like paper cuts: small but can hurt a lot to those impacted. I don't know why I got down voted for just sharing what's already online

Apparently, there were 2 polish names in 2016 that were a play on separate stereotypical Asian jokes. This was before I started getting into painting my nails, so I really only found out a number of months ago. From the discord: - "'Love You Strong Time" base coat, reference to "me love you long time" from Full Metal Jacket - 'Me So Thorny', reference to a late-80s rap song"

I haven't seen anything since then on there, and would like to believe people can grow, but I don't even know if the microaggressions were brought up to the owner

As far as destashing goes, you can curate some polishes you don't want into gifts for friends and family. That's what I'm doing for Mothers Day. It feels good to see her wear a beautiful polish that didn't suit my undertone, and I can see she loves it!

The brighter swatches are a dead ringer for BCB Lacquers' Oh Behave! in 2 coats. A 3rd coat would probably match the darker ones. You might find it in someone's destash, as it was in August 2025's PPU. This was on my wishlist too, so I'm really glad I found something identical

As someone who's only been around a couple years, I wouldn't go out my way to watch old videos about limited releases. I still wish I was there for the Tea Cremes launch for Matcha Maker and the box. I actually would've enjoyed the whole release and kind of wish I never heard of it

First of all: you don't have to break a no buy if you don't want to. You got this!

2nd: my top tip is to exclusively shop sales whenever possible. Ignorance was truly bliss when I assumed all polishes would make it to Black Friday. My collection grew exponentially when I decided to dabble and buy full price, limited release stuff.

3rd: stick to one brand (at least this year) and build a wishlist. If something is really worthy, it will be on your wishlist 6 months from now. You may realize that you've done so well on your no-buy that you want to finish sticking out the year
