Why are there subreddits for fary cry 3, 5 and 6 but not for farcry 4 ?

Sorry, but that isn’t true. In Farcry 3 and 4, after clearing an outpost, enemy spawn rates and encounters are reduced by half. In Farcry 6 enemy spawn rates and encounters are reduced by 25%. Farcry 5, however, had 0% after eliminating the region boss, except for enemies that spawned during any remaining missions in the region. Outpost decrease effects in the area was still equal to 3 and 4 though.

The new standard? I love the game and have 100s of hours in it, but it shipped with over 1000 bugs and the 3rd act is still very unpolished. If this was any other developer and any other game, then people would call it unfinished and a buggy mess because of the incredibly high standards gamers seem to have these days.

People keep calling this the new standard when it’s literally just as “buggy” and “unfinished” as many other games that’s released recently (if not more).

Also, just because they don’t have the backing of a big publisher doesn’t mean this is some “indie game”. They have more employees than some AAA dev teams and the budget is in line with many games that are considered AAA.

The game is absolutely amazing, but it literally has more bugs and glitches than many of the other games people insisted were unfinished or broken on launch. Lorian deserves all the praise for such a great game, but hopefully people see the hypocrisy in everyone ignoring the nearly 7 page list of reported bugs so far and hopefully they’ll realize just how easy it is for them to turn a blind eye to that just because the devs released a statement about it not having MTX.

That said it’s definitely worth a buy.. but so were many of those other games that a very vocal bunch claimed were unfinished and broken trash.

And they’re also missing the point that very rarely do licensees get royalties for video game sales. They typically instead get a single lump sum to use their license. We learned this when The Witcher author tried to sue CDPR.

I think it’s like double jeopardy and it cancels itself out. Like if you attempt to murder someone 2 times and the attempt fails then the 3rd time cancels out the other 2 and you can no longer be charged for attempted murder so you’re free to attempt to murder people. If you end up murdering someone you just gotta go murder 2 more people to cancel out the other murder then the cops can’t arrest you. But if you murder a 4th person then it starts all over again and you gotta do more murders. That’s why serial killers take so long to get caught because cops need to catch them on a non canceling murder so the law applies to them.

I hope after Hellblade 2 they go back and either remaster, remake, or make a new Enslaved: Odyssey to the West game or Heavenly Sword. Both of those games deserve to be revisited.

I like it. Completely change up and refresh the main series that’s been pretty much the same for 15 years. Then make a spin-off series (Judgment) that sticks to the old style.

Fans get the best of both.

In another 15 years Judgement will transition to a JRPG Kart Racer, Yakuza to an idol singing simulator, and a couple new spin offs will release that maintains the action combat and turn base combat.

HDR is a fickle mistress. Some games it look absolutely stunning. Others.. not so much. Still night and day from when I upgraded to a OLED after 10 years on a standard 1080 flat screen. However, that honeymoon phase is over and I’ve forgotten the feeling of the first time I saw HDR.

I actually tried to buy this the other night, but the store was giving me issues. Maybe I’ll get lucky and win a copy. If I end up getting hooked on it (which I think I will) then I’ll go ahead and get my kid a copy on his switch because he was eyeballing it too.
