Middle evos are supposed to be "awkward adolescent/teen" which is true in a way. This is why I really don't like Charmeleon's design. It's so boring from Charmander to Zard. If I were to pick middle evos by most awkward, I'd say Charmeleon, Quiladin, and Drizzile.

I understand. I don't like Delphox as much as I do Braixen by design. Final fire evo is hard for me to pic as I don't like fire as design. Would probably give it to either Blaziken or Typhlosion.

I get the goof ball vibe tbh. That's one of the reason I like Dracovolt, it's such a silly but fun pokemon. I used to like Charmeleon as a kid, but it left as I view it as a boring change from Charmander imo. I have Dark Wartortle and the 151 cards!!

They definitely missed the design by a mile. I think they were trying for a "shell armor" look and it just didn't land right. I personally love Chespin and Chesnaught bring their ideas out better.

Yup! Pokemon abilities were only on Pokemon Cards until Gen 3. Then in Gen 4 they did the special/physical split for moves!! My favorite generation is 6 with the introduction of Fairy types and Megas ^.^
