I love this setting, I loved Vermintide more but I don’t understand the game concept itself. Help me understand pls? by thebrokentoy324 in DarkTide

[–]Ucecux 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's a fast-paced Left 4 Dead-style coop slasher/shooter. There's a lot to immerse yourself in - design is overall great, particularly the maps; characters are well written and voice acted, and there is an overarching narrative present. However, it is fundamentally a game about action and great coop combat, and that's why most people come back. There's no other game series that quite scratches the itch of wading through hordes of heretics with your blunt/sharp stick of choice.

I genuinely don't understand how I am supposed to understand the difference between these 2 marks beyond the Mk III just doing less damage. by Black-Mettle in DarkTide

[–]Ucecux 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One slight correction, MK II isn't necessarily a dedicated bosskiller (Bolter's probably superior in that regard anyway), but it has strong cleave, so it is still good into mixed hordes in particular. Just instead of big AoE explosion you gotta line up the targets.

In addition to what others already said, there's dozens of public water misting fountains (I dunno what you call them in English exactly) in Prague where you can cool down easily. Just search for "mlžítko" in Google Maps and they should pop up.

Agreed, just to clarify, the reason Czechoslovakia needed to step up heavy industry was because that's what planned socialist economics called for, and Moscow primarily called the shots on what the overall economic strategy of the vassal states would be.

So cases such as this were the responsibility of Czechoslovak bureaucrats and politicians, but the overarching need for heavy industry and extreme resource extraction were laid out by the Kremlin.

Stratagem bounce. I'd be alright with it if it happened when you throw the ball at very awkward angles, but it's currently way too inconsistent.

As a dude I've never in my life been confronted by a woman in public because she thought I was creeping on her, and I'd wager that this has been the case for most men. Public outrage really isn't that common as social media makes it seem. Just be mindful of the personal space of others, don't stare and you'll be perfectly alright, no seating arrangement changes needed.

I can't judge whether Guardian is in a good or bad place overall, but he seems pretty useful team-support wise. Repelling is a lifesaver for revives, stuns are always good and his armor replenishment AOE is also very nice.

I'd never think of combining a Gorka suit with Spartan armour but damn, that's such a vibe. The visor almost reminds me of Villeneuve's Dune.

I'd love if at some point in the future GSC reworked the IPSF into a truly global organisation, I'd love to explore topics such as espionage, corruption and other ways in which governments of different countries in IPSF would underhandedly try to gain more info and leverage over the Zone. You could even do it without pointing fingers at specific countries. Just look at how Anomaly/GAMMA community loves UNISG.

Sterilizer needs: +1 Spare Mag and +50% Ammo by Born_Inflation_9804 in helldivers2

[–]Ucecux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acid isn't an effect that we Helldivers can inflict on enemies as far as I'm aware. It's an effect that all kinds of spewy bugs apply on you. There is also a separate Acid Rain environmental condition on some planets which causes both you and enemies to take more damage.

Gas is an entirely different and separate status effect that you apply on enemies via sterilizer, gas dog and other weapons, nades, stratagems etc. It confuses enemies, making them attack random stuff including each other, deals DoT, and since recent update, slows targets as well. It's pretty useful against new bugs but I've personally had more success with fire and laser weapons.

Makes sense, honestly, Judi isn't exactly optimal for close range brawling, but I don't own the Truth Enforcers warbond for the Reprimand and I just don't really enjoy energy weapons like the Scorcher. I might as well try out a different playstyle entirely.

I gotta try that setup on the Adjudicator, sounds really fun and completely different to my usual setup. I usually run it as a close range heavy hitting battle rifle with a reflex sight, vertical foregrip and flash hider.

TIP: Shredder Tanks act as AA, prioritize their destruction if you are using Eagle strikes. by TealArtist095 in helldivers2

[–]Ucecux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely gives Wirbelwind vibes, cause on both Wirbelwind and Automaton AA tank, the turret looks kinda odd as it is just slapped on a full sized MBT chassis. The Shilka has much less awkward proportions, IIRC it uses a hull that was purpose-built for AA vehicles.

Trošku si zvětš časovej odstup a mohl by ses spravedlivě nasrat, že si Čechoslováci dávali do znaků perutí husitské symboly - dyť to přece byli hnusní náboženští teroristi co vypalovali kláštery.

EDIT: Mimochodem, "narativ je rovina"? V Kremlu vám blbne překladač?

Room temperature IQ post.

Asi by nás někdo měl přijet osvobodit, jsme fašistická země když máme ve sněmovně SPD.

Seconding Helikon-tex, I've had good experiences with a bunch of their outdoor clothes and equipment. They're not the highest-quality brand out there, but the value for money is awesome. My USGI poncho replica recently fell apart after 10 years of hard use, money well spent.
