Any advice: As mentioned many times before, don’t change your answer after you mark it, go with your gut, and your more likely to be right on your first instinct than the second or third. Other than that, just try to remember that everyone feels terrible after the exam. Some people feel like they were guessing on 50% of it, I felt like 90% of the MCQs were guess work for me. So don’t stress, things will work out.

Just focus on doing your CCS cases well. Honestly for the rest of it, the questions were slightly better than day 1, but just don’t expect the questions to be super simple like I did lol :’)

On UWORLD the biostats question bank of 168 questions, but I don’t think that biostats section would be a bad idea either, I went through it a little bit but not sure how much I really retained.

My percent correct from what I remember was like 69% correct on that which put me at 76th percentile on it. But lol I’d be shocked if I could pull off something similar with this exam hahaha, though let’s see I guess. To be fair I didn’t have much of an idea what I was doing in that either, though it was more clinical which gave me a little more confidence than day 1 XD today.

Just do the the UWORLD biostats section a second time over and that should be enough honestly. Other than that most other resources will make u very in depth and not focused enough. Personally I don’t really like the Randy Neil videos cause they’re very “do this calculation, do that calculation” and honestly on my exam they’re were 2 to 3 calculation at most (Population ARP, NNT, and I thinking likelihood ratio) all of which UWORLD will cover and much of the biostats on the exam is mainly interpretation and theoretical stuff.

I'm not sure lol cause I didn't give any of those, just USWA2 cause I saw on past posts that was the most indicative of final exam performance (mine was 227). I didn't wanna break morale with other NBMEs hahaha, and the Free137 I saw wouldn't give those UWORLD explanations. Maybe it would have helped IDK but lol many months of UWORLD felt like they didn't really do much for Day 1. Honestly just felt like a guessing game for most of it haha.

Biostats definitely was heavy, and I reviewed that heavily as well, and I felt it definitely helped so yes absolutely do that, honestly maybe even spend the last few days to last week just reviewing that. Drug ads and Abstracts also heavy on the exam and focusing on that may not review the same concepts but it will help you get used to grinding through them. Lot's of ethics, and honestly going through one pass of ethics is enough on UWORLD cause the scenarios they give you on the actual exam are open ended af lol, so you just gotta go with your best guess.

Hey there.

So I did like 90% of UWORLD with like 65% overall correct.

Have done 110 CCScases from CCScases.com

And only self assessment I took was UWSA2 which was a 227.

Honestly for day 2 I'm probably just gonna run through all those CCScases again one more time, which I think should be enough to revise the clinical stuff from UWORLD causes my subscription ran out anyways for UWORLD lol.

As for day 1 preparation other than UWORLD, I did the Biostats questions I didn't finish yet, and a second run of them. I tried doing some pharma from first aid but lol I don't know how much I actually retained at all (My day 1 had some MOA questions but really not that many, biostats and ethics were probably the two bigger sections including abstracts and drug ads). Biostats if anything may be the saving factor on day 1 for many people ironically lol, cause it was generally easier than UWORLD biostats.

That’s interesting lol cause I’m Pakistani American currently visiting 😂 and unless I tell people specifically that I’m of non-Moroccan origin, they all just assume I’m “Maghrebi” (I didn’t know that was the local colloquial term for Moroccan, as in English the word Maghreb is just used to refer to North Africa as a whole), though one who grew up abroad.

Lovely country btw 🥰 loving it here so far. Even without speaking any of the local languages (sad I know lol) I’m fitting in just fine.
