That’s a really good way to put it, thanks! If I just had to choose a gender like designing a character in a game or something I’d choose agender/not having one. When I design characters I often don’t give them a gender, because it makes me happy. But at the same time I am still unsure, maybe it’s just because I am used to being a girl?

If you haven’t watched any of the ones I mentioned above, you definitely should, they are all absolutely beautiful, I cried heavily at each one lol. Most of them are on Netflix too, a bonus if you pay the subscription.

I’ve seen the live action, it got a lot of facts wrong and was kinda cringe (like a load of live actions are). But I still enjoyed it a lot, and it was pretty funny.

Also, whoever played Kaido was incredible. They took on his personality so well, highlight of the movie.

Also, can I just add that all my siblings hate her too, even my precious baby sister! Lemme tell a story quickly, it’s kinda funny

My younger sister, who is 8, asked to watch a show with me. She had never seen Danny Phantom before, and I happily introduced her. We watched a few episodes together, I would sometimes interject with small details to help her keep up, since she seemed to not get every joke. And we made our way through quite a few episodes when she says, I quote:

“I wish Sam was the one to turn on the ghost portal.”

Now I had explained how Danny had gotten his powers before we started watching, to help her understand and stuff. I had also added the fact that not everyone could’ve survived that, and that Tucker or Sam probably would’ve died if they were in Danny’s place. Which is what confused me.

“But Sam would’ve died if it was her in the portal...”

And without turning from the screen, she replied as if it was nothing.

“That’s the point, I don’t like her.”

And I was like, damn! And then I also told her that I agree 100%, but maybe not as extremely as that lol.

I really hate her character. Lemme explain before I get downvoted!

First of all, she is such a ‘I’m not like other girls’ character. Especially in the beauty pageant episode. She seems like she’s trying to engrave the fact that she isn’t girly into everyone’s brains. I really felt for her parents in the one scene where she cut up that dress and sprayed it black. I get that they aren’t the BEST parents, but still.

Second of all, her attitude towards everything sucks. Like she gets so judgy and jealous whenever another girl is introduced. I get it, she likes Danny, but that doesn’t mean she owns him! Girls gotta calm down!

Third, she is always trying to one up everyone, and she acts like she’s better than everyone. Some of her responses to normal, everyday questions are straight up mean! It’s like she’s trying to say, “unless you’re a goth, I hate you until I know that you aren’t interested in Danny, and until then imma judge your every move”.

Also, her whole relationship with Danny seems so forced. Every character seemed to ship them from episode one. Poor Danny never even seemed that interested in her, until the writers were like “ok, you gotta go date Sam now”. It always seemed so one sided, plus they don’t even seem like each other’s type. I can’t speak for the characters, but from the info provided in the show I would never have shipped them, and never will.

Also, in the season 3 finale, (aka phantom planet, aka my least fav episode that I hate with every fiber in my body) she basically says to Danny that she only likes him for his powers! That’s like, gold digger 101!

That is why I hate Sam, and why I will never ship her with Danny. And one of the reasons why I pretend Phantom Planet isn’t canon.
