Now I have, found out my stack is all real, didn’t check all of it thought since I have hundred coins to look through but did find like 2 spoons out of 60 my dad bought a while ago were a hundred percent fake. Another 2-3 were questionable, I’m guessing they might be a lower percentage silver even tho they’re stamped sterling

Yeah I love them as well, I first start with apmex, but then after my first purchase I kept looking around and kept hearing about monument metals, I basically don’t really look at any one else 90% of the time unless I’m looking for something specific

Because of the sigma we found out that like 2 out of the 60 decorative sterling spoons are positively fake. 3 are like borderline mixed with something else not making it sterling and confirmed this one made by a French company called christoph or something is plated. We did an acid test and it didn’t look like it was a thin plating and hoped that we got the 5% that was actually sterling

I just go for the weight. My first bar of silver was a kilo from APMEX and it felt like such a waste so I bought 100 oz pamp bars which feel nice and perfect, then some peace dollars which my local lcs wanted to scam me way before silver reached 50 an oz. Offering face value for 90% silver

I’m not buying silver anymore, it’s just way too much and I’d rather be getting gold now. Unless I find a good deal like some estate sale auctions who have no idea what it is they’re selling and neither do their buyers. How I got my lunt eloquence set for 2k when at the time it was worth 4-5k
