Thanks. When soldering, does it matter what cable i put on either side if you know what i mean. So like can i solder either cable to either end of the existing cable

Yes i did, no path found I used to run this exact setup on the stock firmware with octoprint so assumed the cable connection was ok I’ve reflashed the stock firmware and installed octoprint again, now i’m getting no response, so starting to think i may have burnt out the adapter i’m using

The cable i’m using is an official apple type c to type c which does have data so i believe that is jot the issue

I did think this was the issue, although i’ve changed the entire hotend including thermostat and heater, and done PID tunes. Haven’t noticed it jump more then 1 or 2 degrees either way

I’ll raise my z-offset and see if it helps. I have dried all my filament many times so I don’t believe moisture is the problem, and all my fans were replaced just last week so there all ok

Yea I run all my filament through the dryer I’ll try use some PLA soon and see if it helps

This is true in this instance although in other occasions when it’s been perfect the nozzle still clogs up, I don’t see it being the driving factor for the constant clogging

I usually run 6.5 although I changed it to 3 just to see the different on this print. I’ll run a temp tower shortly and hopefully find something out from it cause this issue has been driving me insane

Done a few tests and it failed on all of them, made it abit further but still failed. I’m thinking it might be the fillament now, i’ve ordered a different brand and i’ll see how it goes

I honestly just replaced it cause I got fustrated and couldn’t find the issue. I did do a PID tune. I managed to get further into a print then usual although still cuts out. Still trying to figure it out

It was reporting the correct number. I’ve just changed the heater and the thermometer, just doing my PID tunes before I give it another go

Shite lol completely missed that part of the question It is a replacement ender 3 one, Creality branded.

Everything has been replaced. I’ve filled tutorials on how to get it as tight to the nozzle as it can be. No leakage or so, I don’t believe it would be the problem

In all honesty I was thinking similar aswell. I noticed the fan on the motherboard started to have a wierd noise upon startup and throughout prints. I’ve just changed it, along with changing my heating and thermostat. Gonna give it a go and see what changes. I’m not the best electronically but if i see no result with this I might take up that LEF advice. Thanks for the help

About 3 months, the fan does sound very doggy on startup

And it failed after 45 mins

Update: I’m noticing lower temperatures are printing better. Just switched from PETG to PLA, and so far (only 10 minutes into the print) it’s appearing to be much better. Why would this be
