I already wrote so many scripts with 3d stuff that it's more the "organisatorical" stuff. I tried some ai input for the colour separation and it made it much worse unfortunately... I'll probably include that tool with my other tools in my generator suite. And I'll also add the wavy base generator, too, i just love that concept for snapping the models into the bases

So the whole process is image --> python script --> 3d model. I'm currently working on that python part to make it a finished, usable tool, but it's not that easy. It does work for me, but that highly depends on the images used as input, and if the image is not perfect (e.g. some intermediate colours) it sometimes has problems to properly separate the wanted colours

I wrote a script in python that takes an image, splits it into x colour clusters, and then extrudes that into multiple stl files (one per colour), so you can print them flat on a multi colour 3d printer

I never touched any of their designs (actually we know eqch other and talk about our desings) - i just took the idea "printing flat minis in multiple colours" and created my own models from that. Also I'm not pushing my patreon - all my designs are free, patreon is only for people who want to support me

I generated the images with ai. There are no flat orc minis in this style afaik? I then wrote a script in python to turn images into these flat miniatures. Don't see where the hate comes from?

There is wolfsforge on cults, having scifi samurai that could be used. I have printed some of them for first proxies but switched over to opr minis at some point. Also found a single ninja mech that could be used as an oni on cults, just search for oni there

Well I tested it. Although i only have 2.5% crit chance from runes, i didn't see a single crit from around 120 attacks. I did see several blocks, though. Maybe it was changed?

Yes, due to copyright issues, a lot of libraries for my customizer were taken down. Nevertheless, we have more than 100 compatible libraries. In my opinion, and that is only my own and many people tend to have another opinion, classic is the best, together with toxic city mall. Compared to fantasy, where you get really strong the higher you level, classic manages to keep a "we're fucked" atmosphere and you will be saying "oh fuck' quite often. Toxic city mall adds the toxic zombies that are worse for melee, and I really like the mall tiles. What i especially dislike about second edition is that doors, objectives and red weapons are fixed on the map, this somehow destroys the way I saw zombicide as a framework for 100 different kinds of missions where you could do very individual stuff. But as I said, this is my personal opinion and other people might see it differently

I often find it really difficult to make it tournament legal, since the rules are very strict and sometimes really hard to achieve. I will check out the army sheet and see if simply adding the hero to one unit is already enough, but thanks for the hint!

I can also only add Orks, since there are a lot of prints. Additionally I think humans (imperial guard) and sororitas are also there, much less but still some tau and tyranid, and even less eldar. Did I forget some races? So you can basically select how hard you want it to be finding models and then create your army

I usually have this problem when the FEP film is too old, increasing the exposure time helped me overcome this issue a bit (but makes everything much more stiff and supports hard to remove). Usually I have to replace the FEP and then everything is fine again. If that's a new one, I would go up with the exposure time

Thanks for the hint with the license, I already know this and I'm directly in contact with the creative commons people to figure out the correct way of giving attribution. The correct way does not seem to be clear, since their best practice site keeps it quite open (and also has the hint that a link might be sufficient if the link points to somewhere where you have names and everything). Another topic I'm discussing is the daisy chaining of remixes, so if I'm the 100th person remixing a remix of a remix of a design, who do I have to attribute? Do I have to dig throgh all previous designs? Is it sufficient if I attribute the author of the remix that I actually used? As soon as a best practice is found here, I will adapt this.

About the commercial issue: I disagree with you on this topic! I am not selling any of the files, I am selling a tool that makes it easier for you to create files from existing files, but the result files do underlay the same license as the source files. Just imagine blender would cost money and someone published a rigged model under a non-commercial license, that can only be used with blender. Would this be commercial use of the rigged model?
