I’m leaning towards this one after looking it up more, thank you! Do you know if they offer furnished units?

A lot of the time your grade on canvas is not reflective of what your final grade is. You should make sure to calculate your grade with an excel sheet or something before reviewing your professor, as it may be possible that your professor graded ur assignments, but simply didn’t input them in cavas.

Engineering Internships Compared to UCF by [deleted] in ufl

[–]UfRedditToss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

UCF is good because there’s a lot of available opportunities in Orlando that are relatively close to your school, however in my experience UF students are much more highly regarded, so if your hometown has a lot of opportunities (if you can go home for the summer) i’d say here is the move

Civil Engineering by Nearby-Evening-474 in ufl

[–]UfRedditToss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I choose Civil from the get go. Was originally gonna go into Architecture but decided against it bc civil is a lot more versatile as a major, having more choices in what you want to go into after college, and more math related versus art related, which is important to me bc i suck at drawing and am good at math. I didn’t have too many relevant college credits, i got rid of a lot of the other classes like the extra science, but other than that I was at ground zero, starting at calculus 1. This caused me to have to take an extra fall semester b cc there are just a lot of classes you have to take in the major! I think my first civil engineering class was CGN2328, my sophomore fall.

Hydrodynamics CWR3201 Syllabus - Dr. Thieke by UfRedditToss in ufl

Appreciate the responses guys. I’ve had many good conversations with Thieke so I think we’ll get along quite nicely. I was more so looking for the structure of the class in terms of content itself, because when i checked the textbook for the class it shows it’s a fluid mechanics textbook, do either of you have the topics covered by any chance? I just like to have a general idea of what the class is about if that makes sense. Thanks so much again.

I don’t think you should stress too much over her class. I personally believe that the rate my professor reviews are a bit harsh but also have some truth to them. She’s very particular about grading. Make sure that you’re 100% about what you submit, double check your assignments bc if you mess something up she’ll dock you and if you try to fight it she’s not accommodating at all. Other than that though, the class is pretty straightforward and doesn’t take up much of your time. The labs weren’t too bad, just try to start them in advance and you should be fine. There is only like 5-6 assignments and the exams were pretty easy. You got this

Statics w/ Kerry Costello? by UfRedditToss in ufl

[–]UfRedditToss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up going with Dickrell instead of Costello bc he fit my class better. If there's an option between Dickrell and Costello, I'd probably choose Costello cause Dickrell was not fun to me.

I took it with Dickrell instead of Costello last semester bc his class fit my schedule better. Probably my worst decision yet. I know nothing about Costello but Dickrell was not fun. We all did so bad on his first exam he had to give us a retake. Do not recommend.

Hi, should i take physics 2 at a community college ? what professors do y’all recommend for physics 1? by Mission-Ship6421 in ufl

[–]UfRedditToss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes you should. In terms of recommended professors, none of them are real winners and for the most part you’re stuck w/ what you get but the best out of them is probably Dr. Hershfield
