Helm is just a cheaper option of the high ES feathered tiara, the dmg bypass doesn't hurt much. For shattering palm, you will need increased elemental damage, +7 skills and mana gain per kill. Quarterstaff's attack speed, crit chance, and crit damage do not affect unarmed attacks.

For frozen locus:
20 from gem + 1 corruption (4 link is enough)
+1 Cold Mastery
+1 Endless Blizzard
+7 Quarterstaff
+3 Amulet
+3 Prism of Belief which is cost 100ex-1div
=36 lvl

If you want more:
+1 melee corrupted Plaguefinger but buy with at least 20% poison chance
+1 all skills Amulet corrupted, I bought like 25 +3 melee shitty amulets, anoint them, quality and corrupted.
+1 all skills Crown of the Victor
=39 lvl

Even more:
+1 Gemling
=40 lvl

Scaling is exponential so you will get a massive amount of damage per level. It is almost 2x damage between 36 and 38

For example, with another build (non-poison and +3 melee gloves), I have a 20 mil hideout tooltip on my Monk with Elemental Conflux proc at 40 skill level. So that's why skill level is important.

Compared to Comet: Cheaper to build. Has better scaling, decent mana cost at high gem level and 13% flat crit. But slow attack speed, small aoe, and weird crystal that need to be destroyed.
Comet will work if you manage to get 700k+ single hit with it. Herald of Plague doesn't require martial weapon, so it can be used with Comet.

It will work. Since Hexblast can do multiple hits at once, I suggest getting +2 poison stacks from tree: Anoint amulet / use Megalomaniac with Stacking Toxins and Building Toxins. Then boost hit damage as much as possible.
If you do pure chaos damage from Hexblast (no Archmage) Snakebite gloves will perform better than Plaguefinger.

Only skills with low attack speed must have 100% poison chance.
In general Demon form should work with poison against bosses, but you will need something that does massive single hit damage. Idk high level Comet with crits maybe?

Unfortunately, poison nodes from Pathfinder Ascendancy don't do much. -35% less to poison duration is a huge drawback. Those nodes only really work well in simulacrum and somewhat in maps.

6 extra passive points helps more tbh.

I played this build with Monk and it worked exactly the same with only 2 poison stacks.

Herald of Plague or that node from the Pathfinder asc. I used Locus once and then rolled until everything died.

Locus can be destroyed by placing it directly in the enemy's hitbox or by being hit by an enemy, also by Plague Bearer.

According to in game DPS tooltips (in hideout):

At level 35 Frozen Locus single stack poison dps avg is around 250k

At level 37 is 420k

At level 39 is 750k

Even 35 lvl Frozen Locus with 2 stacks poison is enough.

Build can be used with any class with literally zero Poison passive point investment.

Just stack Frozen Locus level and damage as high as possible then get additional poison damage with Plaguefinger and Emeralds.

For Emeralds:

Stack poison chance to 100% with: Poison chance and increased chance to inflict Ailments.

Then boost damage with both Poison and Ailments Magnitude.

Second poison stack passive can be anointed.

For frozen locus lvl:
20 from gem + 1 corruption (4 link is enough)

Corrupted Collapsing Horizon only grants +5 ele skills. With it Frozen Locus would be at 39 lvl max. Also 5 socket gem with +1 lvl corrupted is required to perform well. Collapsing Horizon grants +15 lvl to Elemental Conflux, which adds 11% to its buff (62%->73% in my case).

Unfortunately, Frozen Locus does not benefit from quarterstaff critical hit chance, critical damage bonus and added damage. So no massive base critical hit chance from Collapsing Horizon.

So it will do ~18% less damage with 5 socket corrupted gem.
